हे महिषासुरमर्दिनी, जो सोने के समान चमकते हुए, कलाओं से परिपूर्ण सिन्धु नदी के जल से गुणों की भूमि का अभिषेक करता है, क्या वह इन्द्राणी के स्तनों के आलिंगन के सुख का अनुभव नहीं करता? हे देवताओं और विद्वानों द्वारा पूजित, हे कल्याणकारी देवी, मैं तुम्हारे चरणों में शरण लेता हूँ। तुम्हारी जय हो, जय हो, हे महिषासुर का वध करने वाली, हे सुन्दर जटाजूट वाली, हे पर्वतराज हिमालय की पुत्री!

O Mahishasura Mardini, one who sprinkles the land of virtues with waters from the art-filled ocean that shines like gold, does he not enjoy the bliss of embracing Shachi’s (Indrani’s) breasts? I take refuge in your feet, O auspicious one, who is revered by gods and scholars. Victory, victory to you, O slayer of Mahishasura, O beautiful-braided one, O daughter of the mountains!
