तव विमलेन्दु कुलं वदनेन्दुमलं सकल नयन अनुकूलायते

किमु पुरुहूत पुरन्दर मुखी सुमुखीभिरसौ विमुखी क्रियते

मम तु मतं शिव नाम धने भवति कृपया किमुत न क्रियते

जय जय हे महिषासुरमर्दिनि रम्यकपर्दिनि शैलसुते ॥

हे महिषासुर का मर्दन करने वाली, सुन्दर जटाओं वाली, पर्वतराज हिमालय की पुत्री! तुम्हारे निर्मल चंद्र कुल के समान मुखमंडल सभी की आँखों को भाता है। क्या इंद्र आदि देवताओं की पत्नियों के सुंदर मुख तुम्हारी ओर से विमुख किए जाते हैं? मेरी तो यह राय है कि शिव नाम के धन से क्या कुछ नहीं किया जा सकता? तुम्हारी कृपा से सब कुछ संभव है। जय हो, जय हो!
