नवीनमेघमण्डली निरुद्धदुर्धरस्फुरत्- कुहूनिशीथिनीतमः प्रबन्धबन्धुकन्धरे ।

निलिम्पनिर्झरीधरस्तनोतु कृत्तिसिन्धुरः कलानिधानबन्धुरः श्रियं जगद्धुरंधरः ॥

ನವೀನಮೇಘಮಂಡಲೀ ನಿರುದ್ಧದುರ್ಧರಸ್ಫುರತ್- ಕುಹೂನಿಶೀಥಿನೀತಮಃ ಪ್ರಬನ್ಧಬನ್ದುಕನ್ಧರೇ ।

ನಿಲಿಮ್ಪನಿರ್ಝರೀಧರಸ್ತನೋತು ಕೃತ್ತಿಸಿನ್ದುರಃ ಕಲಾನಿಧಾನಬನ್ದುರಃ ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ಜಗದ್ಧುರನ್ಧರಃ ॥

Meaning

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ದೂರ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು, ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿರುವ, ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದಿರುವ, ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಅವನ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹೊಸ ಮೇಘಗಳ ಗುಂಪಿನಿಂದ ತಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ, ಭೇದಿಸಲು ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ, ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳವನೂ, ಗಂಗಾ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿರುವವನೂ, ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದವನೂ, ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವವನೂ, ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನೂ ಆದ ಶಿವನು ನನಗೆ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುತ ಮತ್ತು ಕರುಣಾಮಯಿ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಶಿವನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವವನು, ರಕ್ಷಕನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನೀಡುವವನು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

This verse describes Shiva’s power to dispel darkness, his bearing of the Ganga, his wearing of skin, his possession of the moon, and his role as the protector of the world. It prays for him to bestow prosperity.

May Shiva, whose neck is adorned with the darkness of the new clouds that have blocked the intense and difficult to penetrate darkness of the new moon night, who bears the Ganga, who wears the skin of an animal, who is beautiful with the crescent moon, and who carries the burden of the world, bestow prosperity upon me.

This shloka praises Shiva’s powerful and compassionate form. It highlights Shiva as the destroyer of darkness, the protector, and the bestower of prosperity.

ಹೊಸ ಮೇಘಗಳ ಗುಂಪಿನಿಂದ ತಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ, ಭೇದಿಸಲು ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ, ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು.
