ಅಶೇಷಲೇಖಶೇಖರಪ್ರಸೂನಧೂಲಿಧೋರಣೀ ವಿಧೂಸರಾಂಘ್ರಿಪೀಠಭೂಷಣಾ ಮಮ ಸ್ಮೃತಿಮ್ ॥

Meaning¶

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದೈವತ್ವವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿವನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿಯೆಂದರೆ, ದೇವತೆಗಳೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

ಯಾವ ಶಿವನ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಚೌಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಕಿಡಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದ ದೀಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳ ಇಂದ್ರನು ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೋ, ಮತ್ತು ಯಾರ ಪಾದದ ಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹೂವುಗಳ ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆಯೋ, ಅಂತಹ ಶಿವನು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ಮೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಲಿ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಇಂದ್ರನು ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ದೇವತೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನ ಪಾದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಹೂವುಗಳ ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದ ಅವನ ಪೀಠವು ಅಲಂಕೃತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಶಿವನು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ಮೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಲಿ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವನ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿವನ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯು ಎಂತಹ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆಯೆಂದರೆ, ಅದು ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನೂ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂದ್ರನು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ದೇವತೆಗಳ ರಾಜನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೂ ಅವನೂ ಶಿವನ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾಗಿಸಿ ಶಿವನ ಪಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೂಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆ ಹೂವುಗಳ ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದ ಶಿವನ ಪಾದದ ಪೀಠವು ಅಲಂಕೃತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಶಿವನು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಲಿ, ನನಗೆ ಸದಾ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

This shloka highlights the power and divinity of Shiva. Shiva is so powerful that even the gods revere him. By remembering him with devotion, one can attain peace and wisdom.

May my mind dwell on Him, whose brilliance illuminates Indra, the thousand-eyed lord, with the sparks of the blazing fire on His forehead, and whose footstool is adorned by the dust from the flowers offered by all the gods.
