भुजङ्गराजमालया निबद्धजाटजूटकः श्रियै चिराय जायतां चकोरबन्धुशेखरः ॥

ಸಹಸ್ರಲೋಚನಪ್ರಭೃತಿಶೇಷಲೇಖರಾದಿಭಿರ್ಹಿಪುಷ್ಪಧೂಲಿಧೂಸರೋರ್ಧ್ವಲೇನದೀಯಕಮ್ ।

ಭುಜಂಗರಾಜಮಾಲಯಾ ನಿಬದ್ಧಜಾಟಜೂಟಕಃ ಶ್ರಿಯೈ ಚಿರಾಯ ಜಾಯತಾಂ ಚಕೋರಬಂಧುಶೇಖರಃ ॥

Meaning

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ತರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿದೆ.

ಯಾರು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರನಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವತೆಗಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹೂವುಗಳ ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದ ಬೂದು ಬಣ್ಣದ ಕೆಂಪಾದ ಕಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವರೋ, ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ರಾಜನ ಹಾರದಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಜಟಾಜೂಟವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಚಕೋರ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಧರಿಸಿರುವ ಶಿವನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಇರಲಿ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೋರುತ್ತದೆ. ದೇವತೆಗಳಿಂದ ಅರ್ಪಿತವಾದ ಹೂವುಗಳ ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ತಲೆ, ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ಹಾರದಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಜಟೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿರುವ ಶಿವನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ, ರಾವಣನು ಶಿವನ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಸಾವಿರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಇಂದ್ರನು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಹೂವುಗಳ ಧೂಳಿನಿಂದ ಶಿವನ ತಲೆಯು ಕೆಂಪಾದ ಬಣ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ರಾಜನಾದ ವಾಸುಕಿಯು ಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಶಿವನ ಜಟೆಯನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಚಕೋರ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾಗಿರುವ ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧರಿಸಿರುವ ಶಿವನು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ.

This verse praises the power and beauty of Shiva. It is believed to bring prosperity and happiness to devotees.

May Shiva, whose reddish aura is greyed by the dust of flowers from the heads of all the gods, starting from the thousand-eyed Indra, whose matted hair is bound by the garland of the king of serpents, and who wears the moon, the friend of the Chakora bird, on his head, be the bestower of prosperity forever.

This verse describes the beauty of Shiva and seeks his blessings. May Shiva, whose head is covered with flower dust from the gods, whose matted hair is adorned with a garland of serpents, and who wears the moon, grant lasting prosperity.

In this verse, Ravana describes the beauty of Shiva. Shiva’s head is covered with a reddish-grey aura, owing to the dust from the flowers offered by gods like Indra (who has a thousand eyes). Vasuki, the king of serpents, adorns Shiva’s matted hair like a garland. May Shiva, who adorns the moon, a friend of the Chakora bird, on his head, grant us lasting prosperity.
