ಕರಾಲ ಭಾಲ ಪಟ್ಟಿಕಾಧಗದ್ಧಗದ್ಧಗಜ್ಜ್ವಲ-

ದ್ಧನಂಜಯಾಹುತೀಕೃತ ಪ್ರಚಂಡ ಪಂಚಸಾಯಕೆ ।

ಧರಾಧರೇಂದ್ರನಂದಿನೀಕುಚಾಗ್ರ ಚಿತ್ರಪತ್ರಕ-

ಪ್ರಕಲ್ಪನೈಕಶಿಲ್ಪಿನಿ ತ್ರಿಲೋಚನೇ ರತಿರ್ಮಮ ॥

Meaning¶

ಇದು ಶಿವನ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿವನು ನಾಶಕನೂ ಹೌದು ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತನೂ ಹೌದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಯಾವ ತ್ರಿಲೋಚನನು ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಗಧಗನೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಮನ್ಮಥನ ಐದು ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದನೋ, ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯ ಸ್ತನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣನೋ, ಅಂತಹ ತ್ರಿಲೋಚನನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಲೀನವಾಗಲಿ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನು ಕಾಮದೇವನನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸುವ ದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತನು ಶಿವನಲ್ಲಿ ಲೀನವಾಗಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಭವ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿವನು ತನ್ನ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಕಾಮದೇವನನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯ ಸ್ತನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಲಂಕಾರಿಕ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಶಿವನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನೆಲೆಸಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

It highlights Shiva’s power, beauty, and artistry, suggesting Shiva is both destroyer and creator.

My mind finds delight in the three-eyed Shiva, who with the blazing fire on his fearsome forehead, consumed the five arrows of Kamadeva (Cupid), and who is the unique artist skilled at painting intricate designs on the bosoms of Parvati, the daughter of the mountain king.

This verse describes Shiva burning Kamadeva and adorning Parvati, expressing the devotee’s desire to be absorbed in Shiva.

This verse glorifies Shiva, portraying him as the destroyer of Kama (desire) through the fire of his forehead, and as a skilled artist adorning Parvati. The devotee expresses a desire for their mind to be constantly absorbed in such a form of Shiva.

Who offered the mighty five arrows as oblations into the fire.

In the three-eyed one, the sole artist of imagination, is my delight.
