ललाटचत्वरज्वलद्धनञ्जयस्फुलिङ्गभा- निपीतदीपित्तकधराधिपेः सहस्रलोचनः ।

अशेषलेखशेखरप्रसूनधूलिधोरणी विधूसराङ्घ्रिपीठभूषणा मम स्मृतिम् ॥

nipīta-dīpit-taka-dharādhipeḥ sahasra-locanaḥ ।

aśeṣa-lekha-śekhara-prasūna-dhūli-dhoraṇī

vidhūsarāṅghri-pīṭha-bhūṣaṇā mama smṛtim ॥

Meaning

इस श्लोक में, रावण भगवान शिव के सौंदर्य और शक्ति का वर्णन करते हुए कहते हैं कि उनकी स्मृति उन भगवान शिव में रमी रहे, जिनके मस्तक की अग्नि से इन्द्र की दिशाएं पीली हो जाती हैं, और जिनके चरणों को देवताओं के मुकुटों की धूलि सुशोभित करती है।

मेरे चित्त की स्मृति उन भगवान शिव में रमी रहे, जिनके मस्तक पर स्थित समतल भूमि पर प्रज्वलित अग्नि से उठी चिंगारियों की आभा से इन्द्र की दिशाएं पीली हो गयी हैं, और जिनके चरणों के आभूषण समस्त देवों के मुकुटों पर लगे फूलों की धूलि से धूसरित हैं।

यह श्लोक भगवान शिव की महिमा और सौंदर्य का वर्णन करता है। यह उनकी शक्ति और प्रभाव को दर्शाता है, साथ ही उनके प्रति रावण की भक्ति को भी व्यक्त करता है।

In this shloka, Ravana describes the beauty and power of Lord Shiva, saying that his memory is absorbed in that Lord Shiva, whose directions are turned yellow by the fire on his forehead, and whose feet are adorned with the dust from the crowns of the gods.

May my mind revel in Lord Shiva, whose directions are turned yellow by the light of the sparks rising from the blazing fire on the surface of his forehead, and whose footstool is adorned with the dust from the flowers on the crowns of all the gods.

This shloka describes the glory and beauty of Lord Shiva. It shows his power and influence, as well as expresses Ravana’s devotion to him.
