Meaning¶
यह श्लोक शिव के विनाशक और रचनात्मक दोनों रूपों को दर्शाता है, और यह बताता है कि वे सौंदर्य और कला के भी स्वामी हैं।
जिनके भयानक ललाट पर धक्-धक् जलती हुई अग्नि में कामदेव के प्रचंड पांच बाणों को हवन कर दिया गया, और जो पर्वतराज हिमालय की पुत्री पार्वती के स्तनों पर चित्रकारी करने में अद्वितीय कलाकार हैं, उन त्रिनेत्रधारी शिव में मेरी प्रीति है।
इस श्लोक में भगवान शिव के कामदेव को भस्म करने और पार्वती के सौंदर्य के प्रति उनकी कलात्मकता का वर्णन है।
इस श्लोक में भगवान शिव के उस रूप का वर्णन है जब उन्होंने कामदेव को अपने तीसरे नेत्र से भस्म कर दिया था। उनके ललाट पर धधकती अग्नि कामदेव के पांच बाणों को भस्म कर देती है, जो मोह और वासना का प्रतीक हैं। वे हिमालय की पुत्री पार्वती के स्तनों पर चित्रकारी करने वाले अद्वितीय कलाकार हैं, जिसका अर्थ है कि वे सौंदर्य और कला के भी स्वामी हैं। कवि कहते हैं कि उनकी प्रीति उन त्रिनेत्रधारी शिव में है, जो विनाशक और सृजनकर्ता दोनों हैं।

This verse describes Lord Shiva’s form when he burned Kamadeva with his third eye. The blazing fire on his forehead consumes Kamadeva’s five arrows, which represent desire and lust. He is the unique artist who paints artistic patterns on the breasts of Parvati, the daughter of the Himalayas, meaning he is also the master of beauty and art. The poet says that their love is in that three-eyed Shiva, who is both destroyer and creator.
