Meaning / Summary

இந்த சுலோகம் ஸ்ரீ விஸ்வநாதரின் உன்னதமான கருணையையும் சர்வ வல்லமையையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. அவர் புனித நகரமான வாரணாசியின் (ஆனந்தவனம்) முதன்மை தெய்வமாக மட்டுமல்லாமல், ஆனந்தத்தையும் ஆன்மீக ஒளியையும் பொழிபவராகவும், அனைத்து உயிர்களுக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சியின் இறுதி ஆதாரமாகவும் சித்தரிக்கப்படுகிறார். ‘பாவக் கூட்டங்களை அழிப்பவர்’ என்ற அவரது சக்தி, கர்மா சுமையிலிருந்து விடுதலை தேடும் பக்தர்களுக்கு ஆறுதலையும் நம்பிக்கையையும் அளிக்கிறது. மேலும், ‘அநாத நாதர்’ (ஆதரவற்றோரின் காப்பாளர்) என்ற அவரது பங்கு, அவரது உலகளாவிய நல்லெண்ணத்தையும், மிகவும் பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடியவர்களுக்கும் அவர் அணுகக்கூடியவர் என்பதையும் அடிக்கோடிட்டுக் காட்டுகிறது, ஆனந்தம், பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் ஆன்மீக விடுதலைக்கான இறுதி ஆதாரமான இறைவனிடம் சரணடைய அனைவரையும் அழைக்கிறது.

மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் ஆனந்த வனத்தில் (வாரணாசியில்) வாழ்பவரும், ஆனந்தத்தின் மூலமாக இருப்பவரும், பாவக் கூட்டங்களை அழிப்பவரும், வாரணாசியின் தலைவரும், அனாதைகளின் நாதருமான ஸ்ரீ விஸ்வநாதரை நான் சரணடைகிறேன்.

இந்த சுலோகம் வாரணாசியின் முதன்மை தெய்வமான ஸ்ரீ விஸ்வநாதருக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு உருக்கமான பிரார்த்தனையாகும். அவர் ஆனந்தத்தின் வடிவம், அனைத்து மகிழ்ச்சிக்கும் ஆதாரம், பாவங்களை நீக்குபவர், மற்றும் ஆதரவற்றோருக்கு இறுதிப் பாதுகாவலர் என்று அவரைப் போற்றுகிறது. பக்தர் இந்த உச்ச இறைவனிடம் முழுமையாகச் சரணடைவதாக வெளிப்படுத்தி, அவருடைய தெய்வீக ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் அடைக்கலத்தையும் நாடுகிறார்.

This shloka highlights the supreme compassionate nature and omnipotence of Lord Vishwanath. ஸ்ரீ விஸ்வநாதர் பிரபஞ்சத்தின் அதிபதி (விஸ்வம் - பிரபஞ்சம், நாதன் - அதிபதி). வாரணாசியில் சிவபெருமானுக்கு மிகவும் போற்றப்படும் பெயர், அவர் அனைத்து படைப்புகளுக்கும் உச்ச அதிபதி என்பதைக் குறிக்கிறது. ‘ஸ்ரீ’ என்பது ஒரு மரியாதைக்குரிய அடைமொழி.
