இந்த ஸ்லோகம் சிவபெருமானுக்கு மிகவும் பிரபலமான பிரார்த்தனையாகும், இது பெரும்பாலும் சுப சடங்குகளின் தொடக்கத்தில் அல்லது பிற சிவ மந்திரங்களுக்கு முன் ஓதப்படுகிறது. இது சிவனின் தெய்வீக தன்மையின் முக்கிய அம்சங்களை உள்ளடக்கியது - தூய்மை, கருணை, மேலாதிக்கம் மற்றும் அவரது சர்வவல்லமை, குறிப்பாக பக்தனின் இதயத்தில். முழுமையான ஆன்மீக நலன் மற்றும் முக்திக்கு சிவனையும் அவரது சக்தியையும் (பவானி/பார்வதி) வழிபடுவதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் இது எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது.

கற்பூரம் போல் வெண்மையானவரும், கருணையின் வடிவமானவரும், உலக வாழ்வின் சாரமானவரும், நாகங்களின் அரசனை மாலையாக அணிந்தவரும், எப்போதும் இதயத் தாமரையில் வசிப்பவரும், பவானியுடன் (பார்வதி தேவியுடன்) கூடியவருமான சிவபெருமானை நான் வணங்குகிறேன்.

இந்த ஸ்லோகம் சிவபெருமானுக்கு ஒரு மரியாதைக்குரிய வணக்கம். இது அவரது கற்பூரம் போன்ற வெண்மையான வடிவத்தையும், அவரது கருணை நிறைந்த தன்மையையும், இருப்பின் சாரமாக அவர் வகிக்கும் பங்கையும், நாக மாலையையும் போற்றுகிறது. சிவனும், பார்வதி தேவியும் தங்கள் இதயத்தில் என்றென்றும் வசிக்க வேண்டும் என்று பக்தன் விருப்பம் தெரிவிக்கிறான்.

This shloka is a very popular prayer to Lord Shiva, often recited at the beginning of auspicious ceremonies or before other Shiva mantras. It encapsulates the core aspects of Shiva’s divine nature – purity, compassion, supremacy, and his omnipresence, especially within the heart of a devotee. It also highlights the importance of worshipping Shiva along with his Shakti (Bhavani/Parvati) for complete spiritual well-being and liberation.
