Meaning / Summary

हा श्लोक भगवान महाकालाच्या, शिवाच्या उज्जैनमध्ये पूजल्या जाणाऱ्या उग्र रूपाच्या संरक्षक आणि मुक्तिदायक पैलूंवर प्रकाश टाकतो. तो सज्जनांना मोक्ष प्रदान करण्यात आणि भक्तांना अकाली मृत्यूपासून वाचवण्यात महाकालाच्या भूमिकेवर जोर देतो. हा श्लोक शिवच्या काळ आणि मृत्यूवरील अंतिम शक्तीवरील श्रद्धेला अधोरेखित करतो, ज्यामुळे त्याच्या भक्तांना सांत्वन आणि सुरक्षा मिळते.

मुक्तिप्रदानाय		Muktipradānāya
मुक्ती देण्यासाठी मुक्ती म्हणजे जन्म-मृत्यूच्या चक्रातून (संसारातून) मुक्ती किंवा मोक्ष, आणि ‘प्रदानाय’ म्हणजे ‘देण्यासाठी’.		for granting liberation / salvation Mukti means liberation or salvation from the cycle of birth and death (samsara), and ‘pradānāya’ means ‘for granting’.

अकालमृत्योः		Akālamṛtyoḥ
अकालमृत्यूपासून अकाल म्हणजे ‘वेळेआधी’ किंवा ‘अवेळी’, आणि ‘मृत्यू’ म्हणजे ‘मरण’. त्यामुळे, हे व्यक्तीच्या नियत वेळेपूर्वी होणाऱ्या मृत्यूला सूचित करते.		from untimely death Akala means ‘untimely’ or ‘premature’, and ‘mṛtyu’ means ‘death’. So, it refers to death that occurs before one’s destined time.
