ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಶಿವನ ಆರಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆಯ ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನಂದಿಕೇಶ್ವರನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಖಂಡವಾದ ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಕರ್ಮದ ಕಲ್ಮಶಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಶುದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಲಾಗಿದೆ, ದೈವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಚಿಕ್ಕ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಇದು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅಖಂಡವಾದ ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ನಂದಿಕೇಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಂದ ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಅಷ್ಟು ಪುಣ್ಯದಾಯಕ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಅಖಂಡವಾದ ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನಂದಿಕೇಶ್ವರನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದರ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯು ಭಕ್ತನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದರ ಅಪಾರ ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
