तव विमलेन्दु कुलं वदनेन्दुमलं सकल नयन अनुकूलायते
किमु पुरुहूत पुरन्दर मुखी सुमुखीभिरसौ विमुखी क्रियते
मम तु मतं शिव नाम धने भवति कृपया किमुत न क्रियते
जय जय हे महिषासुरमर्दिनि रम्यकपर्दिनि शैलसुते ॥

kimu puruhūta purandara mukhī sukumukhībhirasau vimukhī kriyate

यह श्लोक देवी दुर्गा के सौंदर्य और शक्ति का वर्णन करता है। यह बताता है कि देवी का सौंदर्य इतना महान है कि चंद्रमा भी उनके मुखमंडल पर अनुकूल हो जाता है, और उनका नाम ही धन्य है।
