यह श्लोक देवी दुर्गा की शक्ति और करुणा का वर्णन करता है। यह बताता है कि वे सभी की रक्षा करती हैं, चाहे वे कितने भी असहाय क्यों न हों। यह श्लोक हमें देवी दुर्गा की शरण में जाने और उनसे आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।
हे नारायणी, जो लोग किसीकी शरण में नहीं जाते, उन्हें आप शरण देती हैं, आप निर्गुण स्वरुप हैं और भव (संसार) से बचाने वाली हैं। हे नारायणी, सभी देवताओं द्वारा आपके चरणों की वंदना की जाती है, आपके चरणों की धूल सूर्य के तेज से भी अधिक शक्तिशाली है जो अंधकार को दूर करती है। हे महिषासुर का मर्दन करने वाली, रमणीय जटाजूट वाली, पर्वतराज हिमालय की पुत्री, आपकी जय हो, जय हो!
