এই শ্লোকটি দেবী দুর্গার মহিমা ও শক্তির প্রকাশ করে। এটি পাঠের মাধ্যমে ভক্ত দেবী দুর্গার কৃপা লাভ করে এবং বিপদ থেকে রক্ষা পায় বলে বিশ্বাস করা হয়।

হে মা জগদম্বা, হে আমার মা, কদম্ব গাছের বনে বাস করতে যিনি ভালোবাসেন, যিনি হাসিমুখে আনন্দিত, পর্বতের চূড়ারত্নের মতো নির্মল ও উজ্জ্বল, চঞ্চল কিরণমালায় শোভিত, মধুর মাধুর্যে ভরা, মধু ও কৈটভ নামক অসুরদের বিনাশকারিণী, দৈত্যদের ধ্বংসকারিণী, তাপ হরণকারিণী, মহিষাসুরমর্দিনী, সুন্দর চুলের বিনুনিধারিণী, এবং পর্বতের কন্যা, তোমার জয় হোক, জয় হোক।

এই শ্লোকে দেবী দুর্গার বাসস্থান, রূপ, গুণাবলী এবং অসুরবিনাশের ক্ষমতা বর্ণিত হয়েছে। দেবীকে কদম্ববনের প্রিয়বাসিনী, হাস্যময়ী, পর্বতচূড়ারত্নের ন্যায় নির্মল, মধুপূর্ণ, অসুরবিনাশিনী এবং ভক্তের তাপহর্ত্রী রূপে বন্দনা করা হয়েছে।

এই শ্লোকে দেবী দুর্গার বিভিন্ন রূপ ও গুণাবলীর বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। তাঁকে জগদম্বা ও নিজের মা রূপে সম্বোধন করা হয়েছে, যিনি কদম্ব গাছের বনে বাস করতে ভালোবাসেন এবং সর্বদা হাসিমুখে বিরাজ করেন। তাঁর সৌন্দর্য পর্বতের চূড়ার রত্নের মতো নির্মল ও উজ্জ্বল, যা চঞ্চল কিরণমালায় শোভিত। তিনি মধুর মাধুর্যে পরিপূর্ণ এবং মধু ও কৈটভ নামক দুই শক্তিশালী অসুরকে বধ করেছেন, সেইসঙ্গে অন্যান্য দৈত্যদেরও বিনাশ করেছেন। দেবী দুর্গা তাঁর ভক্তদের কষ্ট ও দুঃখ দূর করেন। মহিষাসুরকে বধ করার জন্য তিনি মহিষাসুরমর্দিনী নামে পরিচিতা। তাঁর চুলের বিনুনি খুব সুন্দর এবং তিনি হিমালয়ের কন্যা রূপে পরিচিতা। দেবীর জয়গান করা হয়েছে।

This shloka describes Goddess Durga’s residence, form, qualities, and ability to destroy demons. The Goddess is worshiped as the one who loves to reside in the Kadamba forest, is cheerful, pure as a jewel on a mountain peak, full of honey, the destroyer of demons, and the remover of the devotee’s suffering.

This verse praises Goddess Durga by describing her various forms and qualities. She is addressed as the Mother of the Universe and the devotee’s own mother, who enjoys dwelling in forests of Kadamba trees and is always joyful and smiling. Her beauty is pure and bright like a jewel atop a mountain peak, adorned with shimmering rays of light. She is full of sweet nectar. She is the destroyer of the two powerful demons Madhu and Kaitabha, as well as other demons. Goddess Durga removes the pain and suffering of her devotees. Because she killed Mahishasura, she is known as Mahishasura Mardini. Her braids are beautiful, and she is known as the daughter of the Himalayas. Victory is proclaimed to the Goddess.
