श्रद्धामयोऽयं पुरुषो यो यच्छ्रद्धः स एव सः ॥

శ్రద్ధామయోఽయం పురుషో యో యచ్ఛ్రద్ధః స ఏవ సః ॥

śraddhāmayo’yaṁ puruṣo yo yacchraddhaḥ sa eva saḥ ॥

This verse explains the importance of faith and how it affects our lives. It suggests that we examine our beliefs and guide them in the right direction.

O Arjuna, the faith of each individual corresponds to their own nature. A person consists of faith; as is their faith, so are they.

Krishna tells Arjuna that the faith of each person is in accordance with their nature, and that their faith defines their personality.

Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that the faith (shraddha) of each person is in accordance with their inherent nature (sattva). People are essentially defined by their faith; whatever their faith is, that is what they become. This means that one’s faith determines their personality and behavior.

Meaning¶

ఓ భరతుడా, ప్రతి ఒక్కరి శ్రద్ధ వారి వారి స్వభావానికి అనుగుణంగా ఉంటుంది.

O Bharata (Arjuna), the faith of everyone is in accordance with their nature.

Meaning of Words¶

सत्त्वानुरूपा	సత్త్వానురూపా		sattvānurūpā
స్వభావానికి అనుగుణంగా మనిషి యొక్క సహజమైన గుణానికి లేదా వ్యక్తిత్వానికి తగినట్టుగా		according to the nature fitting or corresponding to the inherent quality or personality of a person.
सर्वस्य	సర్వస్య		sarvasya
అందరి యొక్క ప్రతి ఒక్కరి యొక్క		of everyone belonging to all individuals.
श्रद्धा	శ్రద్ధా		śraddhā
విశ్వాసం నమ్మకం, భక్తి, శ్రద్ధ		faith belief, devotion, reverence.
