एवमेतद्यथात्थ त्वमात्मानं परमेश्वर ।

द्रष्टुमिच्छामि ते रूपमैश्वरं पुरुषोत्तम ॥

ఏవమేతద్యథాత్థ త్వమాత్మానం పరమేశ్వర ।

ద్రష్టుమిచ్ఛామి తే రూపమైశ్వరం పురుషోత్తమ ॥

evam etad yathāttha tvam ātmānaṁ parameśvara ।

draṣṭum icchāmi te rūpam aiśvaraṁ puruṣottama ॥

Meaning / Summary

ఈ శ్లోకం భగవంతుని యొక్క నిజ స్వరూపాన్ని తెలుసుకోవాలనే కోరికను, భగవంతునిపై విశ్వాసాన్ని తెలియజేస్తుంది.

ఓ పరమేశ్వరా, పురుషోత్తమా! నీవు నీ గురించి చెప్పినదంతా నిజమే. నీ ఐశ్వర్యవంతమైన రూపాన్ని చూడాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను.

అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడిని తన విశ్వరూపాన్ని చూపమని అడుగుతున్నాడు, ఎందుకంటే కృష్ణుడు తన గురించి చెప్పినదంతా నిజమని అర్జునుడు నమ్ముతున్నాడు.

అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడితో ఇలా అంటున్నాడు, “ఓ పరమేశ్వరా! నీవు నీ గురించి ఏమి చెప్పావో, అది అంతా సత్యమని నేను నమ్ముతున్నాను. నీవు సర్వాంతర్యామివి, సర్వశక్తిమంతుడివి అని తెలుసుకున్నాను. ఇప్పుడు నేను నీ దివ్యమైన, ఐశ్వర్యవంతమైన రూపాన్ని (విశ్వరూపాన్ని) చూడాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. దయచేసి నాకు ఆ రూపాన్ని చూపించు.” దీని ద్వారా అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడిపై తనకున్న భక్తిని, విశ్వాసాన్ని తెలియజేస్తున్నాడు. అంతేకాకుండా, భగవంతుని యొక్క నిజ స్వరూపాన్ని తెలుసుకోవాలనే తన కోరికను కూడా వ్యక్తపరుస్తున్నాడు.

This verse highlights the desire to understand the true nature of God and expresses faith in the Lord.

O Supreme Lord, O Purushottama, I believe everything you have told me about yourself is true. Now, I wish to see your divine, majestic form.

Arjuna requests Krishna to reveal his cosmic form, as Arjuna believes everything Krishna has said about himself.

Arjuna says to Krishna, “O Supreme Lord! Everything you have said about yourself, I believe to be true. I have understood that you are omnipresent and omnipotent. Now, I wish to see your divine and majestic form (Vishwaroopa). Please show me that form.” Through this, Arjuna expresses his devotion and faith in Krishna. Moreover, he expresses his desire to know the true form of God.
