त्वत्तः कमलपत्राक्ष माहात्म्यमपि चाव्ययम् ॥

త్వత్తః కమలపత్రాక్ష మాహాత్మ్యమపి చావ్యయమ్ ॥

tvattaḥ kamalapatrākṣa māhātmyam api cāvyayam ॥

Meaning / Summary¶

This verse highlights the greatness of Krishna and how Arjuna has recognized it. It indicates a deep understanding of Krishna’s divinity.

O lotus-eyed one, I have heard from you in detail about the origin and dissolution of beings, as well as your imperishable glory.

Arjuna tells Krishna that he has heard about the origin and dissolution of beings and Krishna’s eternal glory from Krishna himself.

Arjuna is telling Sri Krishna, “O lotus-eyed one! After seeing your divine form, I have heard in detail from you about the origin and dissolution of all beings. Furthermore, I have also come to know about your eternal and unchanging greatness. Your glory is immeasurable, and it is impossible for anyone to fully comprehend it.”
