अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप ।

अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि ॥

అశ్రద్దధానాః పురుషా ధర్మస్యాస్య పరంతప ।

అప్రాప్య మాం నివర్తంతే మృత్యుసంసారవర్త్మని ॥

aprāpya māṁ nivartante mṛtyusaṁsāravartmani ॥

Meaning / Summary

ఈ శ్లోకం భక్తి మరియు విశ్వాసం యొక్క ప్రాముఖ్యతను తెలియజేస్తుంది. భగవంతుని యందు విశ్వాసం లేనివారు మోక్షం పొందలేరని తెలియజేస్తుంది.

ఓ అర్జునా, ఈ ధర్మమును విశ్వసించని వారు నన్ను చేరకుండా తిరిగి మరణముతో నిండిన ఈ సంసార మార్గంలో తిరుగుతూ ఉంటారు.

విశ్వాసం లేనివారు భగవంతుడిని చేరకుండా మరణ చక్రంలో తిరుగుతూ ఉంటారు.

ఓ పరంతపా (శత్రువులను దహించేవాడా) అర్జునా, ఎవరైతే ఈ ధర్మమైన భక్తి మార్గమును విశ్వసించరో, వారు నన్ను పొందలేక, మరణము మరియు పునర్జన్మల చక్రములో తిరుగుతూ ఉంటారు. వారు మోక్షము పొందలేరు మరియు లౌకిక జీవితములో బంధించబడి ఉంటారు.

This verse highlights the importance of faith and devotion. It emphasizes that those who lack faith in God cannot attain liberation.

O Arjuna, those who have no faith in this Dharma, failing to reach Me, return to the path of worldly existence, which is subject to death.

Those who lack faith wander in the cycle of death, failing to reach God.

O Parantapa (Arjuna, scorcher of foes), those who have no faith in this Dharma (righteous path of devotion), fail to attain Me and return to the cycle of birth and death. They do not achieve liberation and remain bound in worldly existence.

Meaning of Words

अश्रद्दधानाः		అశ్రద్దధానాః		aśraddadhānāḥ
విశ్వాసం లేనివారు, నమ్మనివారు శ్రద్ధ లేనివారు, నమ్మకం లేనివారు. భక్తి లేనివారు.			Those without faith, non-believers Lacking faith or devotion; unbelieving.
पुरुषा		పురుషా		puruṣā
మనుష్యులు పురుషులు అంటే మానవులు, వ్యక్తులు.			Men, people Humans, individuals.
धर्मस्य		ధర్మస్య		dharmasya
ధర్మమునకు ధర్మం అంటే ఇక్కడ నీతి, కర్తవ్యం, లేదా భక్తి మార్గం.			Of Dharma Relating to righteousness, duty, or the path of devotion.
अस्य		అస్య		asya
ఈ ఇది సూచిస్తుంది - ప్రస్తుతమున్నది.			This Referring to the present or current one.
परन्तप		పరంతప		parantapa
ఓ పరంతపా అర్జునుడిని సంబోధిస్తూ, శత్రువులను జయించేవాడు అని అర్థం.			O Parantapa An epithet for Arjuna, meaning ‘subduer of enemies’.

…నన్ను చేరకుండా మరణంతో నిండిన ఈ సంసార మార్గంలో తిరుగుతూ ఉంటారు.

చేరుకోలేక, పొందలేక.			Not attaining Without reaching or obtaining.
मां		మాం		māṁ
నన్ను అంటే భగవంతుడిని, శ్రీకృష్ణుడిని.			Me Refers to the speaker, Lord Krishna.
निवर्तन्ते		నివర్తంతే		nivartante
తిరిగి వస్తారు వెనక్కి వెళ్తారు, పునరావృతం అవుతారు.			Return Go back, revert.
मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि		మృత్యుసంసారవర్త్మని		mṛtyusaṁsāravartmani
