किं तद् ब्रह्म किमध्यात्मं किं कर्म पुरुषोत्तम ।
अधिभूतं च किं प्रोक्तमधिदैवं किमुच्यते ॥

కిం తద్ బ్రహ్మ కిమధ్యాత్మం కిం కర్మ పురుషోత్తమ ।
అధిభూతం చ కిం ప్రోక్తమధిదైవం కిముచ్యతే ॥

ఈ శ్లోకం భగవద్గీతలో అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడిని కొన్ని ముఖ్యమైన తాత్విక విషయాల గురించి అడుగుతున్నాడు. ఈ ప్రశ్నలు తత్వశాస్త్రానికి సంబంధించిన మూల భావనలను అర్థం చేసుకోవడానికి సహాయపడతాయి.
అర్జునుడు అడుగుతున్నాడు: ఓ పురుషోత్తమా! బ్రహ్మ అంటే ఏమిటి? అధ్యాత్మం అంటే ఏమిటి? కర్మ అంటే ఏమిటి? అధిభూతం అని దేనిని అంటారు? అధిదైవం అని దేనిని అంటారు?
అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడిని బ్రహ్మ, అధ్యాత్మం, కర్మ, అధిభూతం, అధిదైవం అంటే ఏమిటో అడుగుతున్నాడు.
అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుడిని కొన్ని ముఖ్యమైన విషయాల గురించి అడుగుతున్నాడు. వాటి గురించి తెలుసుకోవాలనే కుతూహలంతో ఉన్నాడు. అర్జునుడు అడుగుతున్నాడు: ఓ పురుషోత్తమా (శ్రేష్ఠుడవైన పురుషుడా)! బ్రహ్మ అంటే ఏమిటి? అసలు ఆత్మ అంటే ఏమిటి? కర్మ అంటే ఏమిటి? అధిభూతం అంటే ఏమిటి? అధిదైవం అంటే ఏమిటి? వీటి యొక్క నిజమైన అర్థం ఏమిటి అని అడుగుతున్నాడు.

Arjuna asks: O Supreme Person, what is Brahman? What is the Self? What is action? What is called the material manifestation? And what is called the demigods?
Arjuna is asking Krishna what Brahman, Adhyatma, Karma, Adhibhuta, and Adhidaiva are.
Arjuna is inquiring about some fundamental concepts of philosophy from Krishna, showing his curiosity to understand them. Arjuna asks: O Purushottama (Supreme Person), what is Brahman? What is Adhyatma (the Self)? What is Karma (action)? What is Adhibhuta (the material manifestation)? And what is Adhidaiva (the demigods)? What is the true meaning of each of these terms?
