अर्जुन उवाच।

मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसंज्ञितम् ।

यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम ॥

அர்ஜுன உவாச।

மதனுக்ரஹாய பரமம் குஹ்யமத்யாத்மஸம்ஜ்ஞிதம் ।

யத்வயோக்தம் வசனஸ்தேன மோஹோ யம் விகதோ மம ॥

mad-anugrahāya paramaṁ guhyam adhyātma-saṁjñitam।

yat tvayoktaṁ vacas tena moho ’yaṁ vigato mama॥

Meaning / Summary

இந்த ஸ்லோகம், குருவின் கருணையினால் மட்டுமே ஆத்ம ஞானம் பெற முடியும் என்பதை உணர்த்துகிறது. கிருஷ்ணரின் உபதேசத்தால் அர்ஜுனனின் அறியாமை நீங்கியது போல, நாமும் ஒரு குருவின் மூலம் ஞானம் பெற்று தெளிவு பெற முடியும்.

அர்ஜுனன் கூறுகிறான்: என் மீது கருணை கொண்டு, மிக ரகசியமான, ஆத்மா ஞானம் என்று கூறப்பட்ட, எந்த வார்த்தைகளை நீர் கூறினீரோ, அதனால் எனது அறியாமை அகன்றது.

அர்ஜுனன் கிருஷ்ணரிடம், தன்னுடைய அறியாமை நீங்கியது என்றும், அதற்கு கிருஷ்ணரின் கருணையே காரணம் என்றும் கூறுகிறான். கிருஷ்ணர் ஆத்ம ஞானத்தை உபதேசித்ததால் தெளிவு பெற்றதாகக் கூறுகிறான்.

அர்ஜுனன் கிருஷ்ணரிடம், “எனது அறியாமையைப் போக்கும் வகையில், என் மீது கருணை கொண்டு ஆத்ம தத்துவத்தை உபதேசித்தீர்கள். உங்களின் கருணையால், நான் இப்போது தெளிவு பெற்றுள்ளேன்” என்று கூறுகிறான்.

This verse highlights the importance of a Guru’s grace in attaining spiritual knowledge. Just as Arjuna’s ignorance was removed by Krishna’s teachings, we too can attain clarity through a Guru.

Arjuna said: By the words You have spoken out of compassion for me, this delusion of mine is gone. You have revealed the supreme secret concerning the self.

Arjuna tells Krishna that his delusion has been dispelled due to Krishna’s compassion. He acknowledges that Krishna’s teachings on the self have brought him clarity.

Arjuna acknowledges Krishna’s grace in dispelling his ignorance. He states that Krishna, out of compassion, imparted the supreme secret of spiritual knowledge (knowledge of the self), which has now cleared Arjuna’s delusion.

मदनुग्रहाय		மத்-அனுக்ரஹாய		mad-anugrahāya
என் மீது கருணை கொண்டு எனக்கு தயவு காட்டி			Out of compassion for me Showing kindness to me.
परमं		பரமம்		paramaṁ
மிகவும் உயர்ந்த, மேலான			Supreme Highest, utmost.
गुह्यम्		குஹ்யம்		guhyam
ரகசியம் மறைவான, வெளிப்படுத்த முடியாதது			Secret Confidential, not to be revealed.
अध्यात्मसंज्ञितम्		அத்யாத்ம-ஸம்ஜ்ஞிதம்		adhyātma-saṁjñitam
ஆத்மா ஞானம் என்று கூறப்பட்டது ஆன்மீக அறிவு என்று அறியப்பட்டது			Called knowledge of the self Designated as knowledge of the self, spiritual knowledge.
