प्रकृतिं पुरुषं चैव क्षेत्रं क्षेत्रज्ञमेव च ।

एतद्वेदितुमिच्छामि ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं च केशव ॥

Meaning / Summary

या श्लोकामध्ये अर्जुन भगवंतांना जीवनातील मूलभूत तत्त्वे आणि ज्ञानाच्या मार्गावरील महत्त्वाच्या संकल्पनांविषयी प्रश्न विचारतो. हे प्रश्न आत्मज्ञान आणि मोक्ष प्राप्तीसाठी आवश्यक आहेत.

अर्जुन म्हणाला: हे केशवा, मला प्रकृती, पुरुष, क्षेत्र, क्षेत्रज्ञ, ज्ञान आणि ज्ञेय यांविषयी जाणून घ्यायची इच्छा आहे.

अर्जुन श्रीकृष्णाला प्रकृती, पुरुष, क्षेत्र, क्षेत्रज्ञ, ज्ञान आणि ज्ञेय यांविषयी जाणून घेण्याची इच्छा व्यक्त करतो.

अर्जुन पुढे बोलतो: हे केशवा, मला प्रकृती म्हणजे काय, पुरुष म्हणजे काय, क्षेत्र म्हणजे काय, क्षेत्रज्ञ म्हणजे काय, ज्ञान म्हणजे काय आणि ज्ञेय म्हणजे काय याबद्दल सविस्तर माहिती हवी आहे. या सगळ्या गोष्टींची माहिती मिळाल्यावर मला आत्मज्ञान प्राप्त होईल, अशी माझी अपेक्षा आहे.

In this shloka, Arjuna asks the Lord about the fundamental principles of life and important concepts on the path of knowledge. These questions are essential for self-realization and liberation.

Arjuna said: O Keshava, I wish to know about Prakriti (Nature), Purusha (the enjoyer), Kshetra (the field of activities), Kshetrajna (the knower of the field), Jnana (Knowledge), and Jneya (the object of Knowledge).

Arjuna expresses his desire to Krishna to understand Prakriti, Purusha, Kshetra, Kshetrajna, Jnana, and Jneya.

Arjuna continues: O Keshava, I desire to understand the true nature of Prakriti, what exactly Purusha is, the definition of Kshetra, the identity of Kshetrajna, the essence of Jnana, and the true meaning of Jneya. Gaining knowledge about all these elements will hopefully lead me to self-realization.
