श्रीभगवानुवाच ।

मय्यावेश्य मनो ये मां नित्ययुक्ता उपासते ।

श्रद्धया परयोपेताः ते मे युक्ततमा मताः ॥

mayy āveśya mano ye māṁ nitya-yuktā upāsate

śraddhayā parayopetās te me yuktatamā matāḥ

Meaning / Summary

हा श्लोक भक्ती योगाचे महत्त्व सांगतो. जे भक्त पूर्ण श्रद्धेने आणि एकाग्रतेने देवाची उपासना करतात, ते देवाला अत्यंत प्रिय असतात आणि तेच खरे योगी असतात, हे या श्लोकातून स्पष्ट होते.

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण म्हणाले, ‘जे भक्त आपल्या चित्ताला माझ्यामध्ये स्थिर करून, नित्य म्हणजे नेहमी माझ्या ध्यानात मग्न होऊन अत्यंत श्रद्धेने माझी उपासना करतात, ते मला सर्वश्रेष्ठ योगी वाटतात.’

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण म्हणतात की जे भक्त आपले मन माझ्यामध्ये स्थिर करून, नेहमी माझ्या ध्यानात मग्न होऊन श्रद्धेने माझी उपासना करतात, ते मला सर्वश्रेष्ठ योगी वाटतात.

या श्लोकात भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुनाला सांगतात की जे भक्त आपले मन पूर्णपणे माझ्या ठिकाणी स्थिर करतात, म्हणजे इतर कोणत्याही विचारात न अडकता फक्त माझ्यावरच लक्ष केंद्रित करतात, आणि नेहमी माझ्या भक्तीत तल्लीन असतात, म्हणजेच नित्य माझे ध्यान आणि चिंतन करतात, आणि हे सर्व ते अत्यंत श्रद्धेने करतात, म्हणजे त्यांच्या मनात माझ्याविषयी पूर्ण विश्वास आणि आदर असतो, असे भक्त मला सर्वश्रेष्ठ योगी वाटतात. याचा अर्थ, जे भक्त अनन्य भावाने आणि पूर्ण श्रद्धेने माझी उपासना करतात, ते मला अत्यंत प्रिय आहेत आणि तेच खरे भक्त आहेत.

This verse emphasizes the importance of Bhakti Yoga. It clarifies that those devotees who worship God with complete faith and concentration are extremely dear to God and are the true Yogis.

The Blessed Lord said: Those who, fixing their minds on Me, worship Me with steadfast devotion, possessed of supreme faith, are considered by Me to be the most perfect in Yoga.

Lord Krishna says that those devotees who fix their minds on Him, constantly engage in His meditation, and worship Him with faith, are considered by Him to be the most perfect in Yoga.

In this verse, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that those devotees who fix their minds completely on Him, meaning they focus solely on Him without getting caught up in other thoughts, and who are always absorbed in devotion to Him, that is, constantly meditate and contemplate on Him, and who do all this with utmost faith, meaning they have complete trust and respect for Him in their hearts, are considered by Him to be the most perfect in Yoga. This means that those devotees who worship Him with unwavering devotion and complete faith are extremely dear to Him, and they are the true devotees.

श्री		śrī
माननीय/पवित्र येथे ‘श्री’ म्हणजे आदरार्थी शब्द आहे, जो भगवंताच्या नावापूर्वी वापरला जातो.		Blessed/Revered Here, ‘Sri’ is a word of respect used before the name of the Lord.
भगवान्		bhagavān
भगवान म्हणजे परिपूर्ण, ऐश्वर्य, सामर्थ्य, कीर्ती, सौंदर्य, ज्ञान आणि वैराग्य यांसारख्या गुणांनी युक्त.		Lord means one who is complete and endowed with qualities like opulence, power, fame, beauty, knowledge, and detachment.
उवाच		uvāca
म्हणाले उवाच म्हणजे बोलले.		said Uvāca means spoke.

जे भक्त आपल्या चित्ताला माझ्यामध्ये स्थिर करून, नित्य माझ्याशी एकरूप होऊन माझी उपासना करतात.

Those who, fixing their minds on Me, constantly united, worship Me.

Meaning of Words

मयि		mayi
माझ्यामध्ये म्हणजे माझ्या ठिकाणी, माझ्या स्वरूपात.		in Me In Me means in My place, in My form.
आवेश्य		āveśya
स्थिर करून आवेश्य म्हणजे पूर्णपणे समर्पित करणे, एकाग्र करणे.		fixing Āveśya means to completely dedicate, to concentrate.
मनः		manaḥ
मन म्हणजे चित्त, अंतःकरण.		Manaḥ means mind, heart.
ये		ye
ये म्हणजे जे लोक, जे भक्त.		those who Ye means those people, those devotees.
माम्		mām
माझी माम् म्हणजे मला, माझ्या स्वरूपाला.		Mām means Me, My form.
नित्ययुक्ताः		nitya-yuktāḥ
नित्य एकरूप झालेले नित्ययुक्ताः म्हणजे नेहमी माझ्याशी जोडलेले, सतत माझ्या ध्यानात मग्न.		constantly united Nitya-yuktāḥ means always connected to Me, constantly absorbed in My meditation.
उपासते		upāsate
उपासना करतात उपासते म्हणजे भक्ती करतात, पूजा करतात.		Upāsate means to worship, to adore.

अत्यंत श्रद्धेने युक्त असलेले ते मला सर्वश्रेष्ठ योगी वाटतात.

श्रद्धया		śraddhayā
श्रद्धेने श्रद्धया म्हणजे आदरपूर्वक, विश्वासाने.		Śraddhayā means with respect, with faith.
परया		parayā
परया म्हणजे सर्वश्रेष्ठ, अत्यंत जास्त.		Parayā means supreme, very high.
उपेताः		upetāḥ
युक्त असलेले उपेताः म्हणजे असलेले, धारण केलेले.		Upetāḥ means possessed of, having.
ते		te
ते म्हणजे ते भक्त.		they Te means those devotees.
मे		me
मला मे म्हणजे माझ्या दृष्टीने.		by Me Me means in My opinion.
युक्ततमाः		yuktatamāḥ
युक्ततमाः म्हणजे सर्वात श्रेष्ठ योगी.		Yuktatamāḥ means the most perfect in Yoga.
मताः		matāḥ
मताः म्हणजे समजले जातात, मानले जातात.		Matāḥ means are considered, are regarded.
