यो मामजमनादिं च वेत्ति लोकमहेश्वरम् ।

असम्मूढः स मर्त्येषु सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते ॥

yo mām ajam anādiṁ ca vetti lokamaheśvaram।

asammūḍhaḥ sa martyeṣu sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate ॥

Meaning / Summary

हा श्लोक भगवतगीतेतील ज्ञानाचे महत्त्व दर्शवितो. भगवानाला योग्य प्रकारे जाणल्याने मनुष्य पापांपासून मुक्त होतो आणि मोक्षाकडे वाटचाल करतो.

जो मला जन्मरहित, अनादी आणि लोकांचा महान ईश्वर म्हणून जाणतो, तो मनुष्यांमध्ये मोहमुक्त होतो आणि सर्व पापांपासून मुक्त होतो.

जो मला जन्मरहित, अनादी आणि जगाचा स्वामी म्हणून जाणतो, तो मनुष्यांमध्ये मोहमुक्त होऊन सर्व पापांपासून मुक्त होतो.

या श्लोकात भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुनाला सांगतात की जो कोणी त्यांना जन्म नसलेला, ज्याचा आदि नाही असा आणि सर्व लोकांचा महान स्वामी म्हणून ओळखतो, तो मनुष्यांमध्ये ज्ञानी आणि मोहमुक्त होतो. असा मनुष्य सर्व प्रकारच्या पापांपासून आणि बंधनांपासून मुक्त होतो, कारण त्याला सत्य ज्ञान प्राप्त झालेले असते.

This verse highlights the importance of knowledge in the Bhagavad Gita. Knowing the Lord in the right way liberates one from sins and leads to salvation.

He who knows Me as unborn, beginningless, and the Supreme Lord of the worlds, is undeluded among mortals and is freed from all sins.

The person who knows Me as unborn, without beginning, and the Supreme Lord of the universe, is freed from delusion and all sins.

In this verse, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that whoever knows Him as unborn, without beginning, and the Supreme Lord of all the worlds, is wise and free from delusion among mortals. Such a person is liberated from all kinds of sins and bondage because he has attained true knowledge.
