अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप ।

अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि ॥

Meaning / Summary

या श्लोकाद्वारे श्रद्धेचे महत्त्व सांगितले आहे. श्रद्धा असल्याशिवाय परमेश्वराची प्राप्ती होऊ शकत नाही.

हे परंतप अर्जुना, जे पुरुष श्रद्धाहीन आहेत, ते मला प्राप्त न होता मृत्युमय संसारचक्रात परतत राहतात.

ज्या लोकांमध्ये श्रद्धा नाही, ते मला प्राप्त न होता मृत्युलोकात पुन्हा जन्म घेतात.

या श्लोकात भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुनाला सांगतात की ज्या लोकांमध्ये श्रद्धा नाही, जे भक्त भावरहित आहेत, ते मला म्हणजेच परमेश्वराला प्राप्त करू शकत नाहीत. ते या जन्म-मृत्यूच्या चक्रात सतत फिरत राहतात. श्रद्धा ही परमेश्वराच्या प्राप्तीसाठी आवश्यक आहे. ज्यांच्या मनात श्रद्धा नसते, ते सांसारिक गोष्टींमध्ये अडकून राहतात आणि त्यांना मुक्ती मिळत नाही.

This verse emphasizes the importance of faith. Without faith, one cannot attain God.

O Arjuna, scorcher of enemies, those who are faithless in this Dharma, failing to reach Me, return to the path of mortal existence.

Those who are faithless, failing to reach Me, return to the mortal world.

In this verse, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that those who are faithless, those who lack devotion, cannot attain Him, that is, the Supreme God. They continue to revolve in the cycle of birth and death. Faith is essential for attaining God. Those who do not have faith in their hearts remain entangled in worldly things and do not attain liberation.

अश्रद्दधानाः		aśraddadhānāḥ
अश्रद्दधानाः श्रद्धा नसलेले, श्रद्धाहीन		faithless Without faith, lacking trust or belief.

अस्य		this Refers to the Dharma or path being discussed.
परन्तप		parantapa
परन्तप हे परंतप (शत्रूंना ताप देणारा)		O scorcher of enemies An epithet for Arjuna, meaning ‘one who torments the enemies’. It’s a way of addressing Arjuna and highlighting his prowess in battle.
