श्रीभगवानुवाच ।

इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे ।

ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् ॥

jñānaṁ vijñānasahitaṁ yajjñātvā mokṣhyase’śubhāt ॥

Meaning / Summary

हा श्लोक ज्ञानाचे महत्त्व आणि ते प्राप्त करण्यासाठी आवश्यक असलेली पात्रता दर्शवतो. भगवंत केवळ श्रद्धाळू आणि दोेष न काढणाऱ्या व्यक्तीलाच हे गुह्य ज्ञान देतात, हे यातून स्पष्ट होते.

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण म्हणाले: हे अर्जुना, तू दोेषदृष्टी न ठेवणारा आहेस, म्हणून मी तुला हे अतिशय गुह्य ज्ञान सांगणार आहे. हे ज्ञान जाणून तू दुःखातून मुक्त होशील.

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुनाला अतिशय गुप्त ज्ञान देण्याचे वचन देतात, कारण अर्जुन दोेषदृष्टी ठेवणारा नाही. हे ज्ञान प्राप्त केल्याने तो दुःखातून मुक्त होईल, असे सांगतात.

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुनाला उद्देशून म्हणतात, ‘हे अर्जुना, तू माझ्यावर श्रद्धा ठेवणारा आणि दोेष काढण्याची वृत्ती नसलेला आहेस. त्यामुळे मी तुला हे अत्यंत गुप्त आणि श्रेष्ठ ज्ञान सांगणार आहे. हे ज्ञान विज्ञानसहित आहे, म्हणजे केवळ तात्त्विक नाही, तर अनुभवात्मकही आहे. हे ज्ञान प्राप्त झाल्यावर तू संसारसागरातील दुःखातून पूर्णपणे मुक्त होशील.’ या श्लोकात भगवंतांनी ज्ञानाची महती आणि ते प्राप्त करण्याची पात्रता याबद्दल सांगितले आहे.

This verse highlights the importance of knowledge and the necessary qualities for receiving it. It emphasizes that the Lord bestows this secret knowledge only upon those who are faithful and free from envy.

The Supreme Lord said: O Arjuna, because you are not envious, I shall now reveal to you this most confidential knowledge, along with realization. Knowing this, you shall be released from the miseries of material existence.

Lord Krishna promises to reveal the most confidential knowledge to Arjuna because he is free from envy. He assures Arjuna that by attaining this knowledge, he will be liberated from suffering.

Lord Krishna addresses Arjuna, stating that due to Arjuna’s lack of envy and faithful disposition, He will impart the most secret and profound knowledge to him. This knowledge is not merely theoretical but also includes realization, meaning it is experiential. By attaining this knowledge, Arjuna will be liberated from the suffering inherent in the material world. The verse emphasizes both the greatness of the knowledge and the necessary qualities for receiving it.

Meaning of Words

श्री		śrī
श्री ऐश्वर्य, सौंदर्य, सामर्थ्य, ज्ञान, वैराग्य आणि कीर्ती या सहा गुणांनी परिपूर्ण.		The Supreme; glorious. Indicates the Supreme Lord, full of opulence, beauty, strength, knowledge, detachment, and fame.
भगवान्		bhagavān
भगवान् ज्याच्यामध्ये परिपूर्ण सहा गुण आहेत (ऐश्वर्य, धर्म, यश, लक्ष्मी, ज्ञान आणि वैराग्य).		The Lord; possessor of all opulences. Possessor of complete opulence, strength, fame, beauty, knowledge, and renunciation. Refers to Krishna.
उवाच		uvāca
उवाच		Said. Spoke; uttered. Indicates the beginning of Krishna’s discourse.

मी तुला हे अत्यंत गुह्य ज्ञान सांगणार आहे, कारण तू दोेष काढणारा नाहीस.

I shall declare to you this most confidential knowledge, because you are not envious.

Meaning of Words

इदं		idam
इदं		This. Refers to the knowledge that is about to be imparted.
तु		tu
तु		But; indeed; however.
ते		te
ते		To you. Addressing Arjuna.
गुह्यतमं		guhyatamaṁ
गुह्यतमं अत्यंत गुप्त; रहस्यमय.		Most confidential; most secret. The highest level of secret knowledge.
प्रवक्ष्यामि		pravakṣhyāmi
प्रवक्ष्यामि मी सांगेन; मी स्पष्टपणे सांगेन.		I shall declare; I shall explain. Krishna promises to reveal the knowledge.
अनसूयवे		anasūyave
अनसूयवे दोेष न काढणाऱ्याला; मत्सर न करणाऱ्याला.		To the non-envious; to one who does not find fault. One who is free from envy and fault-finding.

Meaning

हे ज्ञान अनुभवासहित आहे, ज्याला जाणुन तू दुःखातून मुक्त होशील.

Along with realization, this knowledge, knowing which you shall be released from misfortune.

ज्ञानं		jñānaṁ
ज्ञानं ज्ञान; बोध.		Knowledge. Spiritual knowledge.
विज्ञानसहितं		vijñānasahitaṁ
विज्ञानसहितं अनुभवासहित; विशिष्ट ज्ञानासहित.		With realization; along with practical application. Knowledge combined with practical experience and realization.
यत्		yat
यत् जे; ज्या.		Which. Referring to the knowledge.
ज्ञात्वा		jñātvā
ज्ञात्वा जाणून; आकलन करून.		Knowing. After knowing or understanding.
मोक्ष्यसे		mokṣhyase
मोक्ष्यसे तू मुक्त होशील; तुझी सुटका होईल.		You shall be released; you shall be liberated. You will attain liberation.
अशुभात्		aśubhāt
अशुभात् दुःखातून; अमंगलतून.		From misfortune; from inauspiciousness. From suffering, distress, and negativity.
