सत्त्वानुरूपा सर्वस्य श्रद्धा भवति भारत ।

श्रद्धामयोऽयं पुरुषो यो यच्छ्रद्धः स एव सः ॥

സത്വ്വാ‌നുകൂപാ സര്‍വ്വസ്യ ശ്രദ്ധാ ഭവതി ഭാരത ।

ശ്രദ്ധാമയോഽയം പുരുഷോ യോ യച്ഛ്രദ്ധഃ സ ഏവ സഃ ॥

ഈ ശ്ലോകം ശ്രദ്ധയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യം എടുത്തുപറയുന്നു. ഒരാളുടെ സ്വഭാവവും ജീവിതവും രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ ഒരു പ്രധാന പങ്ക് വഹിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ഇത് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

ഹേ ഭാരത, എല്ലാവരുടെയും ശ്രദ്ധ അവരുടെ സത്ത്വഗുണത്തിന് അനുസരിച്ചായിരിക്കും. ഈ പുരുഷൻ ശ്രദ്ധാമയനാകുന്നു. ഏതൊരു ശ്രദ്ധയോടുകൂടിയവനാണോ അവൻ, അവൻ അതുതന്നെയാകുന്നു.

ഓ ഭാരത, ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും വിശ്വാസം അഥവാ ശ്രദ്ധ അവരുടെ സ്വഭാവത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് മാറുന്നു. മനുഷ്യൻ പ്രധാനമായും അവന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയാൽ രൂപംകൊള്ളുന്നു. അവൻ എന്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നുവോ, അത് തന്നെയായി അവൻ മാറുന്നു. ഒരാളുടെ വിശ്വാസം അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിന്റെ താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങളെയും പ്രവണതകളെയും ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശ്രദ്ധ ഒരുവനെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിൽ വലിയ പങ്കുവഹിക്കുന്നു, അതിനാൽ ശരിയായ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ ചെലുത്തേണ്ടത് പ്രധാനമാണ്.
