Meaning / Summary¶

ദൈവീക സ്വഭാവം വളർത്താനും മോക്ഷം നേടാനും ഈ ഗുണങ്ങൾ സഹായിക്കുന്നു. ഈ ഗുണങ്ങൾ ജീവിതത്തിൽ പ്രാവർത്തികമാക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്ക് ഉന്നതമായ ഒരു ജീവിതം നയിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും.

അഹിംസ, സത്യം, കോപം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുക, ത്യാഗം, ശാന്തി, പരദൂഷണം പറയാതിരിക്കുക, എല്ലാ ജീവജാലങ്ങളോടും ദയ, അത്യാഗ്രഹമില്ലായ്മ, സൗമ്യത, ലജ്ജ, ചാപല്യം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുക എന്നിവ ദൈവീക സ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരുടെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ്.

ഈ ശ്ലോകം ദൈവീക സ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരുടെ ഗുണങ്ങളെ വിവരിക്കുന്നു. അഹിംസ, സത്യം, കോപം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുക, ത്യാഗം, ശാന്തി, പരദൂഷണം പറയാതിരിക്കുക, ദയ, അത്യാഗ്രഹമില്ലായ്മ, സൗമ്യത, ലജ്ജ, ചാപല്യം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുക എന്നിവയാണ് ആ ഗുണങ്ങൾ.

ഈ ശ്ലോകത്തിൽ ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ ദൈവീക സ്വഭാവം അഥവാ ദൈവികമായ ഗുണങ്ങളുള്ള വ്യക്തികളുടെ സ്വഭാവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്നു. അത്തരം ആളുകൾ അഹിംസയിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരും സത്യം മാത്രം പറയുന്നവരും ആയിരിക്കും. അവർക്ക് കോപം ഉണ്ടാകില്ല, മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി ത്യാഗം ചെയ്യാൻ തയ്യാറാകും. മനസ്സിൽ ശാന്തിയും സമാധാനവും നിലനിർത്തുന്നതോടൊപ്പം മറ്റുള്ളവരെക്കുറിച്ച് കുറ്റം പറയാതിരിക്കാനും ശ്രമിക്കും. എല്ലാ ജീവജാലങ്ങളോടും ദയയും സ്നേഹവും കാണിക്കുകയും അത്യാഗ്രഹം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. വിനയവും ലജ്ജയും ഉള്ളവരായിരിക്കും, എടുത്തുചാട്ടമില്ലാത്ത സ്വഭാവം അവരിൽ കാണാനാകും. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള സ്വഭാവങ്ങൾ ദൈവീക സ്വഭാവമുള്ളവരുടെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ്.

These qualities help to cultivate a divine nature and attain liberation. By practicing these qualities in life, a person can lead a noble and elevated life.

Non-violence, truthfulness, freedom from anger, renunciation, peacefulness, abstaining from malicious talk, compassion towards all living beings, freedom from greed, gentleness, modesty, and absence of restlessness are the qualities of those endowed with a divine nature.

अपैशुनम्	അപൈശുനമ്		apaiśunam
അപൈശുനം പരദൂഷണം പറയാതിരിക്കുക, കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്താതിരിക്കുക. മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ കുറ്റങ്ങൾ പറയാതിരിക്കുകയും അവരെക്കുറിച്ച് മോശമായി സംസാരിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.		Abstaining from malicious talk Non-slander, non-criticism. Refraining from speaking ill of others or finding fault in them.

മാർദ്ദവം മൃദുത്വം, സൗമ്യത. വിനയവും മര്യാദയും ഉള്ള സംസാരം, പെരുമാറ്റം.		Gentleness Softness, tenderness. Having a gentle and polite manner in speech and behavior.
ह्रीः	ഹ്രീഃ		hrīḥ
ഹ്രീഃ ലജ്ജ, വിനയം. തെറ്റായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന നാണം.		Modesty Humility, shame. A sense of shame when doing wrong.
अचापलम्	അചാപലമ്		acāpalam
അചാപലം ചാപല്യം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുക, സ്ഥിരതയുള്ള മനസ്സ്. എടുത്തുചാട്ടമില്ലാത്ത സ്വഭാവം, ക്ഷമയോടെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യാനുള്ള കഴിവ്.		Absence of restlessness Non-fickleness, stability of mind. Absence of impulsiveness, the ability to handle things patiently.
