ये त्वक्षरमनिर्देश्यमव्यक्तं पर्युपासते ।

सर्वत्रगमचिन्त्यञ्च कूटस्थमचलन्ध्रुवम् ॥

യേ ത്വർക്ഷരമനിർദ്ദേശ്യമവ്യക്തം പര്യുപാസതേ

സർവ്വത്രഗമചിന്ത്യഞ്ച കൂടസ്ഥമചലം ധ്രുവമ് ॥

ye tv akṣharam anirdeśhyam avyaktaṁ paryupāsate

sarvatragaṁ achintyaṁ cha kūṭastham achalaṁ dhruvam

Meaning / Summary

ഈ ശ്ലോകം, നിരാകാരമായ ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം എടുത്തു കാണിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങൾക്ക് അതീതമായതിനെ മനസ്സിലാക്കാനും, അതിലൂടെ മോക്ഷം നേടാനും സാധിക്കുമെന്നും ഈ ശ്ലോകം പറയുന്നു.

എന്നാൽ ആര്, ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങൾക്ക് വിഷയമല്ലാത്തതും, നിർവചിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാത്തതും, എവിടെയും നിറഞ്ഞുനിൽക്കുന്നതും, ചിന്തിക്കാൻ പോലും കഴിയാത്തതും, മാറ്റമില്ലാത്തതും, എല്ലാ ഇപ്പോളും ഒരേപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതും, തളരാതെ ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നുവോ,

ഈ ശ്ലോകത്തിൽ, രൂപമില്ലാത്തതും, മാറ്റമില്ലാത്തതുമായ പരമാത്മാവിനെ ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നവരുടെ പ്രത്യേകതകളും അവർക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയും വിവരിക്കുന്നു.

ഈ ശ്ലോകത്തിൽ, ഭഗവാൻ കൃഷ്ണൻ അദൃശ്യനും, മാറ്റമില്ലാത്തവനുമായ പരമാത്മാവിനെ ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്നു. ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങൾക്ക് ഗോചരമല്ലാത്തതും, വാക്കുകൾക്ക് വിവരിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തതും, സർവ്വവ്യാപിയായതും, ചിന്തകൾക്ക് അതീതവും, സ്ഥിരവും, ശാശ്വതവുമായ ആത്മാവിനെ തളർച്ചയില്ലാതെ ഉപാസിക്കുന്നവർ ഭഗവാനെത്തന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

This verse highlights the importance of worshiping the formless God. It also states that one can understand what is beyond the senses and attain salvation through it.

But those who fully worship the imperishable, the indefinable, the unmanifest, all-pervading, unthinkable, unchanging, constant, and eternal…

This verse describes the characteristics of those who meditate on the formless and unchanging Supreme Soul, and the greatness they attain.

In this verse, Lord Krishna speaks of the greatness of those who meditate on the invisible and unchanging Supreme Soul. Those who tirelessly worship the soul that is beyond the reach of the senses, indescribable in words, omnipresent, beyond thought, constant, and eternal, attain the Lord himself.
