न मे विदुः सुरगणाः प्रभवं न महर्षयः ।

अहमादिर्हि देवानां महर्षीणां च सर्वशः ॥

ന മേ വിദുഃ സുരഗണാഃ പ്രഭവം ന മഹർഷയഃ ।

അഹമാദിർഹി ദേവാനാമ് മഹർഷീണാം ച സർവ്വശഃ ॥

na me viduḥ suragaṇāḥ prabhavaṁ na maharṣayaḥ

aham ādir hi devānāṁ maharṣīṇāṁ ca sarvaśaḥ

Meaning / Summary¶

ഈ ശ്ലോകം ഭഗവാന്റെ അനന്തമായ സ്വഭാവത്തെയും സൃഷ്ടിയുടെ മൂലകാരണമായുള്ള സ്ഥാനത്തെയും എടുത്തു കാണിക്കുന്നു. ഭഗവാൻ എല്ലാവർക്കും അതീതനാണ് എന്നും, പരിമിതമായ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവർക്ക് ഭഗവാനെ പൂർണ്ണമായി അറിയാൻ കഴിയില്ലെന്നും ഇത് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.

എന്നെ ദേവന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്കോ മഹർഷിമാർക്കോ അറിയാൻ സാധ്യമല്ല. കാരണം, ഞാൻ തന്നെയാണ് ദേവന്മാർക്കും മഹർഷിമാർക്കും ആദികാരണം.

ദേവന്മാർക്കും മഹർഷിമാർക്കും പോലും ഭഗവാന്റെ ഉത്ഭവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിയാൻ കഴിയില്ല. കാരണം, അവരെല്ലാവരും ഭഗവാനിൽ നിന്ന് ഉണ്ടായവരാണ്.

ഈശ്വരനായ എന്നെ ദേവന്മാരുടെ സമൂഹത്തിനോ, ഭൃഗു, മരീചി മുതലായ മഹർഷിമാർക്കോ ശരിയായി അറിയാൻ സാധ്യമല്ല. കാരണം, സർവ്വജ്ഞരും സർവ്വശക്തരുമായ ആ ദേവന്മാരുടെയും മഹർഷിമാരുടെയും പോലും ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം ഞാനാണ്. അവരെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതും പരിപാലിക്കുന്നതും ഞാനാണ്. അതിനാൽ, എന്റെ പൂർണ്ണമായ സ്വരൂപം അവർക്കെങ്ങനെ അറിയാൻ കഴിയും?

This shloka highlights the infinite nature of the Lord and His position as the root cause of creation. It clarifies that the Lord is beyond everyone and that those with limited intelligence cannot fully know Him.

Neither the hosts of gods nor the great sages know My origin, for I am the source of all the gods and great sages.

Neither the gods nor the great sages know the origin of the Lord because they all originated from Him.

Neither the assembly of gods nor the great sages like Bhrigu and Marichi can truly know Me, the Supreme Lord. The reason is that I am the very origin of all those gods and sages who are omniscient and omnipotent to a certain degree. I am the one who created and sustains them. Therefore, how can they fully comprehend My complete form and nature?
