अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि ॥

അപ്രാപ്യ മാം നിവർത്തന്തേ മൃത്യുസംസാരവർത്മനി ॥

Meaning / Summary

ഈ ശ്ലോകം ഭക്തിയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യം എടുത്തു കാണിക്കുന്നു. ശ്രദ്ധയും വിശ്വാസവും ഇല്ലാത്തവർക്ക് ഈശ്വരനെ പ്രാപിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുകയില്ലെന്നും അവർ വീണ്ടും ജനന മരണ ചക്രത്തിൽ കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുമെന്നും പറയുന്നു.

ഹേ പരന്തപ, ഈ ധർമ്മത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധയില്ലാത്ത ആളുകൾ എന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കാതെ മരണമാകുന്ന ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിൽ കറങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

ഈ ധർമ്മത്തിൽ വിശ്വാസമില്ലാത്തവർ എന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കാതെ, മരണത്തിന്റെ ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ കറങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ അർജ്ജുനനോട് പറയുന്നു.

ഹേ അർജ്ജുനാ, ഈ ശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധയില്ലാത്ത ആളുകൾക്ക് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ കഴിയില്ല. അവർ ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ ജനനമരണത്തിന്റെ പാതയിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഭക്തിയില്ലാത്തവർക്ക് ആത്യന്തികമായ മോക്ഷം ലഭ്യമല്ല. അവർ സംസാരചക്രത്തിൽ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും കറങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

This verse highlights the importance of faith and devotion. It says that those who lack faith and devotion cannot attain God and remain trapped in the cycle of birth and death.

O Arjuna, those who are faithless in this Dharma, unable to attain Me, return to the path of mortal existence.

Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that those who are faithless in this Dharma, fail to attain Him and continue to wander in the cycle of birth and death.

O Arjuna, those who are without faith in this teaching, fail to reach Me and are repeatedly reborn into this world of death and suffering. Those who lack devotion cannot achieve ultimate liberation. They remain trapped in the cycle of samsara, constantly revolving through birth and death.

വിശ്വാസമില്ലാത്തവർ ശ്രദ്ധയില്ലാത്തവർ, വിശ്വാസമില്ലാത്ത ആളുകൾ			Those without faith Those who are faithless, lacking trust or belief.
पुरुषा		പുരുഷാ		puruṣā
ആളുകൾ മനുഷ്യർ, വ്യക്തികൾ			Men People, individuals.
धर्मस्य		ധർമ്മസ്യ		dharmasya
ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ധർമ്മത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള, ഈശ്വര മാർഗ്ഗത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള			Of the Dharma Relating to the Dharma, the righteous path or duty.

ഹേ പരന്തപ			O Parantapa O Arjuna, the subduer of enemies. ‘Parantapa’ is an epithet for Arjuna, signifying ‘scorcher of foes.’ Krishna uses this name to address Arjuna, possibly reminding him of his strength and duty.

എന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കാതെ മരണമാകുന്ന ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിൽ കറങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Failing to reach Me, they return to the path of mortal existence.
