यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ॥

Meaning / Summary¶

ഈ ശ്ലോകം ആത്മീയ ജ്ഞാനം നേടാനുള്ള വിഷമം എടുത്തു കാണിക്കുന്നു. ഭൗതിക ലോകത്തിലെ താല്പര്യങ്ങൾ ആത്മീയതയിൽ നിന്ന് നമ്മെ അകറ്റുന്നു. അതിനാൽ ഈശ്വരനെ അറിയാനുള്ള തീവ്രമായ ആഗ്രഹം വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞ ആളുകൾക്കേ ഉണ്ടാകൂ. ആത്മാർത്ഥമായി ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് മാത്രമേ ഈശ്വരനെ ശരിയായി അറിയാൻ കഴിയൂ എന്ന് ഈ ശ്ലോകം ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മനുഷ്യരിൽ ഒരാൾ മാത്രം ആത്മസാക്ഷാത്കാരത്തിനായി ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന സിദ്ധന്മാരിൽ ആയിരത്തിൽ ഒരാൾ മാത്രം എന്നെ തത്ത്വമായി അറിയുന്നു.

ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകളിൽ ഒരാൾ മാത്രമേ പൂർണ്ണത നേടാൻ ശ്രമിക്കൂ, പൂർണ്ണത നേടിയവരിൽ ഒരാൾ മാത്രമേ എന്നെ ശരിക്കും അറിയൂ എന്ന് കൃഷ്ണൻ പറയുന്നു.

ഈ ശ്ലോകത്തിൽ, ഭഗവാൻ കൃഷ്ണൻ ആത്മീയമായ ഉന്നതി നേടാനുള്ള ശ്രമം എത്ര ദുഷ്കരമാണെന്നും, ഭഗവാനെ ശരിയായ രീതിയിൽ അറിയുന്നവർ എത്ര കുറവാണെന്നും വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് സാധാരണക്കാരിൽ ഒരാൾ ആത്മീയ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ ചെലുത്തുകയും അതിലൂടെ പൂർണ്ണത നേടാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാൽ, ഇങ്ങനെ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന സിദ്ധന്മാർക്കിടയിൽ പോലും, വളരെ കുറഞ്ഞ ആളുകൾ മാത്രമേ ഭഗവാനെ തത്ത്വമായി മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ. ഭൗതിക ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആകർഷണങ്ങളിൽ കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആത്മീയമായ പാത പിന്തുടരാനുള്ള താല്പര്യം കുറവായിരിക്കും. അതിനാൽത്തന്നെ, ഈശ്വരനെ അറിയാനുള്ള തീവ്രമായ ആഗ്രഹം വളരെ വിരളമായി മാത്രമേ കാണാൻ കഴിയൂ.

This verse highlights the rarity and difficulty of attaining true spiritual knowledge. It emphasizes that the pursuit of self-realization is not common, and even among those who strive for it, only a few genuinely understand the divine truth. The verse serves as a reminder of the dedication and perseverance required on the spiritual path.

Among thousands of men, scarcely one strives for perfection, and even among those who have attained perfection, scarcely one knows Me in truth.

Krishna explains that out of thousands, only one strives for perfection, and out of those perfected, only one truly knows Him.

In this verse, Lord Krishna highlights the difficulty of attaining spiritual perfection and the rarity of those who truly know Him. Out of thousands of ordinary people, only a few develop an interest in spiritual pursuits and strive for self-realization. And even among those who achieve a certain level of perfection (siddhas), only a rare individual understands the true nature of the Lord. The allurements of the material world keep most people entangled, making them less inclined towards spiritual endeavors. Therefore, the intense desire to know God is a rare phenomenon.

ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് മനുഷ്യരിൽ ഒരാൾ മാത്രം സിദ്ധിക്കായി ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു.

मनुष्याणां	മനുഷ്യാണാം		manuṣyāṇāṁ
മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇവിടെ മനുഷ്യരെ എന്നത് പൊതുവായി എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരെയും ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചുള്ളതാണ്. ജാതി, മതം, വർഗ്ഗം, ലിംഗം എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള വ്യത്യാസങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാതെ എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരെയും ഇത് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.		of men Refers to human beings in general, without any specific distinction of caste, creed, or gender.

ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന സിദ്ധന്മാരിൽ പോലും ഒരാൾ മാത്രം എന്നെ തത്ത്വത്തിൽ അറിയുന്നു.

Even among those who have attained perfection, scarcely one knows Me in truth.
