श्रीभगवानुवाच ।

परं भूयः प्रवक्ष्यामि ज्ञानानां ज्ञानमुत्तमम् ।

यज्ज्ञात्वा मुनयः सर्वे परां सिद्धिमितो गताः ॥

ಶ್ರೀ ಭಗವಾನುವಾಚ ।

ಪರಂ ಭೂಯಃ ಪ್ರವಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಾನಾಂ ಜ್ಞಾನಮುತ್ತಮಮ್ ।

ಯಜ್ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ಮುನಯಃ ಸರ್ವೇ ಪರಾಂ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಮಿತೋ ಗತಾಃ ॥

Meaning / Summary¶

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ಜ್ಞಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುನಿಗಳು ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಮುನಿಗಳು ಮುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ನಾನು ಈಗ ಜ್ಞಾನಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹೇಳುವೆನು. ಆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಋಷಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧಕರು ಈ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಮುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾದುದು ಮತ್ತು ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಮೋಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

This shloka highlights the importance of knowledge and emphasizes its necessity for attaining liberation. It inspires one to seek the highest form of knowledge.

The Blessed Lord said: I shall further declare to you that supreme knowledge, the best of all knowledge, knowing which all the sages have attained supreme perfection after departing from this world.

Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that he will reveal the supreme knowledge, the best of all knowledge, knowing which the sages attained liberation.

Lord Krishna continues to address Arjuna, stating that he will impart the highest form of knowledge, the most excellent among all forms of knowledge. By mastering this knowledge, all the sages (Munis) have attained the ultimate perfection (Para Siddhi) and liberation (Mukti) after leaving this world. This knowledge is the most confidential, and through it, one can achieve salvation.

श्री	ಶ್ರೀ		śrī
ಶ್ರೀ ಪೂಜ್ಯ, ಮಂಗಳಕರ, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ, ಸಂಪತ್ತು, ಅದೃಷ್ಟ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ, ಭಗವಂತನಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸೂಚಕವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.		Blessed, Auspicious Sri is a title of respect. It indicates auspiciousness, prosperity, beauty, and good fortune. Here, it is used as a respectful prefix to ‘Bhagavan’.
भगवान्	ಭಗವಾನ್		bhagavān
ಭಗವಾನ್ ಭಗವಂತ, ದೇವರು. ಆರು ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವವನು - ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವೈರಾಗ್ಯ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕೀರ್ತಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಿಕೆ.		The Blessed Lord Bhagavan refers to the Lord, the Divine Being who possesses six opulences: complete knowledge, complete power, complete beauty, complete renunciation, complete fame, and complete wealth.
उवाच	ಉವಾಚ		uvāca
ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.		Uvāca means said, spoke, or declared.

Meaning¶

ಜ್ಞಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

I shall further declare to you that supreme knowledge, the best of all knowledge.

Meaning of Words¶

परं	ಪರಂ		param
ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಉನ್ನತವಾದ, ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ, ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ.		Supreme Param means supreme, transcendental, highest, or ultimate.
भूयः	ಭೂಯಃ		bhūyaḥ
ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ		Again, Further Bhūyaḥ means again, further, or moreover.
प्रवक्ष्यामि	ಪ್ರವಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ		pravakṣyāmi
ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.		Pravakṣyāmi means I shall declare, explain, or speak about.
ज्ञानानां	ಜ್ಞಾನಾನಾಂ		jñānānāṁ
ಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಅರಿವು, ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ.		Of knowledges Jñānānām means of knowledges.
ज्ञानम्	ಜ್ಞಾನಮ್		jñānam
ಜ್ಞಾನ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ, ವಿದ್ಯೆ, ಅರಿವು.		Knowledge Jñānam means knowledge, wisdom, or understanding.
उत्तमम्	ಉತ್ತಮಮ್		uttamam
ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ, ಮೇಲಾದ.		The best Uttamam means the best, the highest, or the most excellent.

Meaning¶

ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುನಿಗಳು ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Knowing which all the sages have attained supreme perfection after departing from this world.

Meaning of Words¶

यत्	ಯತ್		yat
ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಯಾವುದರಿಂದ, ಏನನ್ನು.		Which Yat means which, that, or what.
ज्ञात्वा	ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ		jñātvā
ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ.		Knowing Jñātvā means having known, having understood, or realizing.
मुनयः	ಮುನಯಃ		munayaḥ
ಮುನಿಗಳು ಋಷಿಗಳು, ತಪಸ್ವಿಗಳು.		Sages Munayaḥ means sages, ascetics, or wise men.
सर्वे	ಸರ್ವೇ		sarve
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮಸ್ತ, ಪೂರ್ತಿ.		All Sarve means all, everyone, or everything.
परां	ಪರಾಂ		parāṁ
ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಉತ್ಕೃಷ್ಟವಾದ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ.		Supreme Parām means supreme, transcendental, or ultimate.
सिद्धिम्	ಸಿದ್ಧಿಮ್		siddhim
ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಸಾಧನೆ, ಯಶಸ್ಸು, ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆ.		Perfection Siddhim means perfection, accomplishment, or success.
इतः	ಇತಃ		itaḥ
ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಿಂದ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ.		From here Itaḥ means from here, from this place, or from this world.
गताः	ಗತಾಃ		gatāḥ
ಹೋದರು ಸೇರಿದರು, ಪಡೆದರು.		Attained Gatāḥ means attained, reached, or obtained.
