मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसंज्ञितम् ।

यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम ॥

ಅರ್ಜುನ ಉವಾಚ ।

ಮದನುಗ್ರಹಾಯ ಪರಮಂ ಗುಹ್ಯಮಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಸಂಜ್ಞಿತಮ್ ।

ಯತ್ತ್ವಯೋಕ್ತಂ ವಚಸ್ತೇನ ಮೋಹೋ೽ಯಂ ವಿಗತೋ ಮಮ ॥

mad-anugrahāya paramaṁ guhyam adhyātma-saṁjñitam ।

yat tvayoktaṁ vacas tena moho ’yaṁ vigato mama ॥

Meaning / Summary¶

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಬೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟಾದ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಇದು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ತೋರಿ, ಅತ್ಯಂತ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾದ, ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಭ್ರಮೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೆ, ಕೃಷ್ಣನು ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ನೀಡಿದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಭ್ರಮೆ ದೂರವಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ಹೇ ಕೃಷ್ಣ, ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ, ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗುಪ್ತವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಿ. ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಆ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಮೋಹವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗಿದೆ.

This verse shows the transformation in Arjuna after receiving teachings from Krishna. It emphasizes the importance of Krishna’s grace and spiritual knowledge.

Arjuna said: My illusion is dispelled by the words You have spoken to me out of supreme grace, revealing the most confidential spiritual knowledge.

Arjuna tells Krishna that his illusion has been dispelled by the spiritual knowledge Krishna has given him out of grace.

Arjuna speaks to Krishna, expressing that his delusion has been removed by the words Krishna spoke, words which were spoken out of grace and revealed the most confidential knowledge of the self. He acknowledges the profound impact of Krishna’s teachings on his understanding and clarity.

ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ತೋರಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾದ, ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ.

Out of grace towards me, the supreme, confidential, known as spiritual knowledge.

मत्-अनुग्रहाय	ಮತ್-ಅನುಗ್ರಹಾಯ		mad-anugrahāya
ನನ್ನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ/ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕರುಣೆಗಾಗಿ. ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ.		For my benefit/grace towards me. For the sake of my benefit, for showing kindness towards me.
परमं	ಪರಮಂ		paramaṁ
ಅತ್ಯಂತ		Supreme
गुह्यम्	ಗುಹ್ಯಂ		guhyam

ಯಾವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀಯೋ, ಆ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಭ್ರಮೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ.

By the words which You have spoken, this illusion of mine is dispelled.
