श्रीभगवानुवाच ।

भूय एव महाबाहो श‍ृणु मे परमं वचः ।

यत्तेऽहं प्रीयमाणाय वक्ष्यामि हितकाम्यया ॥

ಶ್ರೀ ಭಗವಾನುವಾಚ ।

ಭೂಯ ಏವ ಮಹಾಬಾಹೋ ಶೃಣು ಮೇ ಪರಮಂ ವಚಃ ।

ಯತ್ತೇಽಹಂ ಪ್ರೀಯಮಾಣಾಯ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಹಿತಕಾಮ್ಯಯಾ ॥

Meaning / Summary¶

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಭಗವಂತನಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಳಿತನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯನ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುವಿನ ಕರುಣೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ಎಲೈ ಮಹಾಬಾಹು ಅರ್ಜುನ, ನನ್ನ ಪರಮ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕೇಳು. ನಿನಗೆ ಹಿತವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಲು ನಾನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಿನಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವೆನು.

ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ, ಅವನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪರಮ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕೇಳಲು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಭಗವಾನ್ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ಎಲೈ ಬಲಶಾಲಿಯಾದ ಅರ್ಜುನನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕೇಳು. ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಈ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳಿತನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

This shloka highlights the love of Lord Krishna towards Arjuna and his intention to do good for him. It emphasizes the importance of the disciple’s worthiness and the guru’s compassion in sharing knowledge.

The Supreme Lord said: Listen again, O mighty-armed Arjuna, to My supreme word, which I shall speak to you, being delighted with you, for your welfare.

Lord Krishna tells Arjuna to listen again to His supreme words for his benefit.

Lord Krishna continues to address Arjuna, affectionately calling him ‘mighty-armed’ (Mahabaho), emphasizing Arjuna’s strength and capability. Krishna expresses His delight in Arjuna and states that He will reveal more profound wisdom for Arjuna’s benefit. He wants Arjuna to listen attentively once more to His supreme teachings because these teachings are meant to bring about Arjuna’s ultimate well-being and spiritual upliftment. The use of the word ‘again’ (bhooya eva) suggests that Krishna is about to elaborate further on the knowledge He has already imparted.

ನಿನಗೆ ಹಿತವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಲು ನಾನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಿನಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವೆನು.

Which I shall speak to you, being delighted with you, for your welfare.

हितकाम्यया	ಹಿತಕಾಮ್ಯಯಾ		hita-kāmyayā
ಹಿತವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿ.		Desiring welfare Wishing for the good, seeking benefit.
