अधियज्ञः कथं कोऽत्र देहेऽस्मिन्मधुसूदन ।

प्रयाणकाले च कथं ज्ञेयोऽसि नियतात्मभिः ॥

ಅಧಿಯಜ್ಞಃ ಕಥಂ ಕೋಽತ್ರ ದೇಹೇಽಸ್ಮಿನ್ಮಧುಸೂದನ ।

ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕಾಲೇ ಚ ಕಥಂ ಜ್ಞೇಯೋಽಸಿ ನಿಯತಾತ್ಮಭಿಃ ॥

Meaning / Summary

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಭಗವಂತನ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧಕರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸೆಯನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಇದು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಸಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ಹೇ ಮಧುಸೂದನ, ಈ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಯಜ್ಞನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ಹೇಗೆ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಚಿತ್ತವುಳ್ಳವರು ಮರಣಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು?

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು ಅಧಿಯಜ್ಞನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ಅವನ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಚಿತ್ತವುಳ್ಳವರು ಮರಣಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹೇ ಮಧುಸೂದನ, ಯಜ್ಞದ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅಧಿಯಜ್ಞನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ಈ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ? ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ, ನಿಯಮಿತ ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳ ಸಾಧಕರು ಮರಣಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ?

This verse highlights the importance of understanding the nature of the Supreme Lord and how devotees can attain Him, especially at the critical moment of death, which is essential for spiritual progress.

Arjuna inquired: O Madhusudana, who is the Adhiyajna, and how does He reside in this body? And how are You to be known at the time of death by those of subdued minds?

Arjuna asks Krishna about Adhiyajna, His location within the body, and how those with controlled minds can know Him at the time of death.

Arjuna poses a series of questions to Krishna. He asks, “O Madhusudana, who is the Lord of sacrifice, the Adhiyajna, and how does He dwell within this body? Furthermore, how can those with regulated minds come to know You at the time of death?”

ಅಧಿಯಜ್ಞನು ಯಜ್ಞದ ಒಡೆಯನು ಅಥವಾ ಯಜ್ಞದ ಅಧಿಪತಿ.			Adhiyajna Lord of sacrifice; the Supreme Lord as the enjoyer of all sacrifices.
कथं		ಕಥಂ		kathaṁ
ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೇಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.			How In what manner, how does it happen.

मधुसूदन		ಮಧುಸೂದನ		madhusūdana
ಮಧುಸೂದನ ಮಧು ಎಂಬ ರಾಕ್ಷಸನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದವನು, ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಹೆಸರು.			Madhusudana O killer of Madhu (a demon); an epithet of Krishna.
