मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद्यतति सिद्धये ।

यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ॥

ಮನುಷ್ಯಾಣಾಂ ಸಹಸ್ರೇಷು ಕಶ್ಚಿದ್ಯತತಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಯೇ ।

ಯತತಾಮಪಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಾನಾಂ ಕಶ್ಚಿನ್ಮಾಂ ವೇತ್ತಿ ತತ್ತ್ವತಃ ॥

Meaning / Summary

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಅಪರೂಪತೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಭಗವಂತನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಶ್ರಮಿಸುವವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಗವಂತನನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಎಂದು ಇದು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವ ಸಿದ್ಧರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತತ್ವಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವೇ ಜನರು ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಪಡೆದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಪುರುಷರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ನನ್ನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಸ್ವರೂಪವನ್ನು, ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಂದರೆ, ಭಗವಂತನನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ಕೆಲವೇ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

This verse highlights the rarity of spiritual knowledge and the difficulty of truly knowing God. It suggests that the number of people who strive for perfection is small, and even fewer of those who attain some level of perfection truly understand God.

Among thousands of men, scarcely one strives for perfection, and even among those who have attained perfection, scarcely one knows Me in truth.

Krishna says that out of thousands, few strive for perfection, and out of those who achieve perfection, even fewer truly know Him.

In this verse, Lord Krishna explains that out of thousands of people, only a few endeavor to achieve spiritual perfection. And among those rare individuals who strive and attain some level of perfection, even fewer truly understand Him in essence, in truth, or in reality. This highlights the difficulty and rarity of achieving true spiritual realization.
