यो मामजमनादिं च वेत्ति लोकमहेश्वरम् ।

असम्मूढः स मर्त्येषु सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते ॥

Meaning / Summary

यह श्लोक भगवान की वास्तविक प्रकृति को जानने के महत्व को बताता है। जो भगवान को उनकी पूर्णता में जान लेता है, वह अज्ञान और पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है और मोक्ष की ओर बढ़ता है।

जो मनुष्य मुझे जन्मरहित, अनादि और लोकों का महान् ईश्वर जानता है, वह मनुष्यों में मोह से रहित होकर सब पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है।

जो मनुष्य भगवान को जन्मरहित, अनादि और लोकों का ईश्वर जानता है, वह मोह से मुक्त होकर पापों से छूट जाता है।

इस श्लोक में भगवान कृष्ण अर्जुन को अपनी दिव्यता और महत्ता का ज्ञान प्रदान करते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि जो मनुष्य उन्हें जन्मरहित (जिसका कोई जन्म नहीं है), अनादि (जिसका कोई आरम्भ नहीं है) और समस्त लोकों का महान ईश्वर (स्वामी) जानता है, वह मनुष्यों में रहते हुए भी मोह से दूर रहता है और अपने सभी पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है। तात्पर्य यह है कि भगवान को उनकी वास्तविक प्रकृति में जानने से मनुष्य अज्ञान और भ्रम से मुक्त होकर मुक्ति की ओर अग्रसर होता है। ऐसा ज्ञानी मनुष्य सांसारिक बंधनों में नहीं फंसता और उसे पापों का फल नहीं भोगना पड़ता।

This shloka highlights the importance of knowing the true nature of God. One who knows God in His completeness is freed from ignorance and sins and progresses towards liberation.

He who knows Me as unborn, beginningless, and the Supreme Lord of all the worlds, is undeluded among mortals and freed from all sins.

The person who knows the Lord as unborn, beginningless, and the Lord of the worlds is liberated from delusion and freed from sins.

In this verse, Lord Krishna imparts the knowledge of His divine nature and greatness to Arjuna. He states that the person who knows Him as unborn (without birth), beginningless (without a beginning), and the Supreme Lord of all the worlds, remains undeluded even while living among mortals and becomes free from all sins. The essence is that knowing the Lord in His true nature liberates a person from ignorance and delusion, leading them towards liberation. Such a knowledgeable person is not entangled in worldly bonds and does not have to suffer the consequences of their sins.
