सत्त्वानुरूपा सर्वस्य श्रद्धा भवति भारत ।
श्रद्धामयोऽयं पुरुषो यो यच्छ्रद्धः स एव सः ॥

સત્ત્વાનુરૂપા સર્વસ્ય શ્રદ્ધા ભવતિ ભારત ।
શ્રદ્ધામયોઽયં પુરુષો યો યચ્છ્રદ્ધઃ સ એવ સઃ ॥

sattvānurūpā sarvasya śhraddhā bhavati bhārata ।
śhraddhā-mayo ’yaṁ puruṣho yo yach-chhraddhaḥ sa eva saḥ ॥

Meaning / Summary¶
આ શ્લોક શ્રદ્ધાનું મહત્વ અને તેના વ્યક્તિના જીવન પરના પ્રભાવને સમજાવે છે. તે દર્શાવે છે કે શ્રદ્ધા વ્યક્તિના સ્વભાવને ઘડવામાં અને તેના વ્યક્તિત્વને આકાર આપવામાં મહત્વની ભૂમિકા ભજવે છે.
હે ભરતવંશી અર્જુન, દરેક માણસની શ્રદ્ધા તેના સ્વભાવ પ્રમાણે હોય છે. આ પુરુષ શ્રદ્ધામય છે, એટલે જેવી જેની શ્રદ્ધા, તેવો તે પોતે હોય છે.
ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ કહે છે કે દરેકની શ્રદ્ધા તેમના સ્વભાવ પ્રમાણે હોય છે, અને માણસ જેવી શ્રદ્ધા રાખે છે તેવો જ તે બને છે.
આ શ્લોકમાં ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણ અર્જુનને કહે છે કે દરેક વ્યક્તિની શ્રદ્ધા તેના પોતાના સ્વભાવ અને સંસ્કારો પ્રમાણે હોય છે. માણસ જે પ્રકારની શ્રદ્ધા રાખે છે, તે જ પ્રકારનો તે પોતે બની જાય છે. શ્રદ્ધા એ વ્યક્તિના વ્યક્તિત્વનો એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભાગ છે અને તે તેના વિચારો, આચરણો અને જીવનશૈલીને અસર કરે છે. જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ સાત્વિક શ્રદ્ધા રાખે છે, તો તે સાત્વિક ગુણો વિકસાવે છે, જ્યારે રાજસિક કે તામસિક શ્રદ્ધા રાખનાર વ્યક્તિમાં તેવા જ ગુણો આવે છે. આથી, વ્યક્તિએ હંમેશાં સાચી અને સાત્વિક શ્રદ્ધા રાખવી જોઈએ.
This shloka explains the importance of faith and its impact on a person’s life. It shows that faith plays a vital role in shaping one’s nature and molding one’s personality.
O Arjuna, descendant of Bharata, the faith of each individual is in accordance with their own nature. This person consists of faith; whatever his faith is, that is what he is.
Lord Krishna explains that everyone’s faith is according to their inherent nature, and a person becomes what they have faith in.
In this verse, Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that the faith of each person is shaped by their inherent nature (sattva, rajas, or tamas). A person’s faith defines their personality; they become what they believe in. Faith influences a person’s thoughts, actions, and lifestyle. If someone has sattvic faith, they develop sattvic qualities. Similarly, those with rajasic or tamasic faith acquire corresponding qualities. Therefore, one should always strive to cultivate true and sattvic faith.
