શ્રી ભગવાન બોલ્યા: નિર્ભયતા, સત્ત્વગુણની શુદ્ધિ, જ્ઞાનયોગમાં દૃઢ સ્થિતિ, દાન, ઇન્દ્રિયોનું દમન, યજ્ઞ, શાસ્ત્રોનો સ્વાધ્યાય, તપ અને સરળતા (સીધાપણું).

આ શ્લોકથી શ્રી ભગવાન દૈવી સંપત્તિનું વર્ણન શરૂ કરે છે. તેઓ નવ મુખ્ય ગુણો ગણાવે છે: નિર્ભયતા, ચિત્તની શુદ્ધિ, જ્ઞાનયોગમાં દૃઢતા, દાન, ઇન્દ્રિયદમન, યજ્ઞ, શાસ્ત્રાધ્યયન, તપસ્યા અને સરલતા. આ ગુણો આધ્યાત્મિક ઉન્નતિ અને મોક્ષના માર્ગે ચાલનારા માટે અત્યંત આવશ્યક છે.
