मम योनिर्महद् ब्रह्म तस्मिन्गर्भं दधाम्यहम् ।

सम्भवः सर्वभूतानां ततो भवति भारत ॥

મમ યોનિર્મહદ્ બ્રહ્મ તસ્મિન્ગર્ભં દધામ્યહમ્ ।

સમ્ભવઃ સર્વભૂતાનાં તતો ભવતિ ભારત ॥

Meaning / Summary

આ શ્લોક સૃષ્ટિના મૂળભૂત સિદ્ધાંતને સમજાવે છે અને પ્રકૃતિ તથા પુરુષના મહત્વ પર ભાર મૂકે છે.

હે ભારત, મારી મહાન યોનિ એ પ્રકૃતિ છે, જેમાં હું ગર્ભ સ્થાપિત કરું છું; તેનાથી બધાં પ્રાણીઓની ઉત્પત્તિ થાય છે.

ભગવાન કહે છે કે પ્રકૃતિ તેમની મહાન યોનિ છે, જેમાં તેઓ ગર્ભ સ્થાપિત કરે છે, અને તેનાથી બધાં જીવો ઉત્પન્ન થાય છે.

આ શ્લોકમાં ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ અર્જુનને સમજાવે છે કે કેવી રીતે પ્રકૃતિ (મહાન યોનિ) અને પુરુષ (ભગવાન) ના સંયોગથી સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિનું સર્જન થાય છે. ભગવાન કહે છે કે તેઓ પ્રકૃતિમાં ગર્ભ સ્થાપિત કરે છે, જેના પરિણામે બધાં જીવો જન્મે છે. અહીં ‘ગર્ભ’ નો અર્થ છે જીવનનો સાર અથવા બીજ. પ્રકૃતિ એ માતા સમાન છે, જે જીવનને ધારણ કરે છે અને પોષણ આપે છે, જ્યારે ભગવાન પિતા સમાન છે, જે જીવનનો આરંભ કરે છે. આ શ્લોક સૃષ્ટિના મૂળભૂત સિદ્ધાંતને સમજાવે છે.

This verse explains the fundamental principle of creation and emphasizes the importance of Prakriti and Purusha.

O Bharat, My great womb is the Prakriti; in that I establish the seed; from that, O Bharat, is the birth of all beings.

The Lord says that Prakriti is His great womb, in which He establishes the seed, and from that all beings are born.

In this verse, Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna how the entire creation comes into existence through the union of Prakriti (the great womb) and Purusha (the Lord). The Lord states that He establishes the seed in Prakriti, resulting in the birth of all beings. Here, ‘seed’ means the essence or the origin of life. Prakriti is like the mother, who conceives and nurtures life, while the Lord is like the father, who initiates life. This verse elucidates the fundamental principle of creation.
