मय्यावेश्य मनो ये मां नित्ययुक्ता उपासते ।

श्रद्धया परयोपेताः ते मे युक्ततमा मताः ॥

મય્યાવેશ્ય મનો યે માં નિત્યયુક્તા ઉપાસતે.

શ્રદ્ધયા પરયોપેતાઃ તે મે યુક્તતમા મતાઃ.

Mayyaveshya mano ye mam nityayukta upasate.

Shraddhaya parayopetaah te me yuktatama mataaha.

Meaning / Summary

આ શ્લોક, ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણ દ્વારા કહેવામાં આવેલો, અત્યંત મહત્ત્વપૂર્ણ છે કારણ કે તે અર્જુનના પ્રશ્નનો સીધો જવાબ આપે છે કે કોને વધુ શ્રેષ્ઠ માનવામાં આવે છે: જેઓ ભગવાનના સાકાર સ્વરૂપની પૂજા કરે છે (સગુણ) કે નિરાકાર, અવ્યક્ત બ્રહ્મની (નિર્ગુણ). કૃષ્ણ સ્પષ્ટપણે જાહેર કરે છે કે જેઓ અચળ શ્રદ્ધા અને નિરંતર ભક્તિ સાથે તેમના વ્યક્તિગત સ્વરૂપ પર પોતાનું મન સ્થિર કરે છે, તેઓ સૌથી શ્રેષ્ઠ યોગીઓ છે. આ ભક્તિ-યોગના માર્ગને મોટાભાગના લોકો માટે સૌથી સીધો અને પ્રાપ્ય માર્ગ તરીકે દર્શાવે છે, જે ઉચ્ચતમ આધ્યાત્મિક અનુભૂતિ તરફ દોરી જાય છે. તે ભગવાન પ્રત્યેના વ્યક્તિગત પ્રેમ અને ભક્તિના મહત્ત્વ પર ભાર મૂકે છે.

શ્રી ભગવાને કહ્યું: જે ભક્તો મારામાં મન પરોવીને, નિરંતર યોગયુક્ત થઈને, મારું ભજન કરે છે અને જેઓ પરમ શ્રદ્ધાથી યુક્ત છે, તેમને હું પરમ યોગીઓ માનું છું.

શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ભગવાન કહે છે કે જે ભક્તો તેમનામાં મન પરોવીને, પરમ શ્રદ્ધા સાથે નિરંતર તેમની વ્યક્તિગત પૂજા કરે છે, તેમને તેઓ બધા યોગીઓમાં સૌથી શ્રેષ્ઠ યોગીઓ માને છે. આ શ્લોક ભગવાનના સાકાર સ્વરૂપ પ્રત્યેની ભક્તિ (ભક્તિ યોગ) ના માર્ગની પ્રશંસા કરે છે.

This verse, spoken by Lord Krishna, is extremely significant as it directly answers Arjuna’s question about who is considered more perfect: those who worship the personal form of God (saguna) or the impersonal, unmanifested Brahman (nirguna). Krishna unequivocally declares that those who steadfastly fix their minds on His personal form, with supreme faith and constant devotion, are the most perfect yogis. This emphasizes the path of Bhakti-yoga (devotional service) as the most direct and attainable for most people, leading to the highest spiritual realization. It highlights the importance of personal love and devotion towards God.

The Supreme Lord said: Those who fix their minds upon Me, always engaged in My worship with unwavering and supreme faith, them I consider to be the most perfect yogis.

Lord Krishna declares that those who constantly engage in His personal worship, fixing their minds on Him with supreme faith, are considered by Him to be the most perfect among all yogis. This verse praises the path of devotional service (Bhakti Yoga) directed towards the personal form of God.

શ્રી ભગવાન. અહીંયા શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ભગવાનની વાત થઈ રહી છે, જેઓ ભગવદ્ ગીતામાં ઉપદેશ આપી રહ્યા છે. ‘શ્રી’ મંગળ અને આદર દર્શાવે છે, અને ‘ભગવાન’ એટલે જેઓ છ ઐશ્વર્ય (શક્તિ, યશ, ધન, જ્ઞાન, સૌંદર્ય અને વૈરાગ્ય) સંપૂર્ણપણે ધરાવે છે. આ સર્વોચ્ચ અસ્તિત્વ માટેનું એક વિશેષણ છે.			The Supreme Lord, the Blessed Lord. This refers to Lord Krishna, who is speaking in the Bhagavad Gita. ‘Shree’ denotes auspiciousness and reverence, and ‘Bhagavan’ means one who possesses all six opulences in full: strength, fame, wealth, knowledge, beauty, and renunciation. પરોવીને, સ્થિર કરીને. પોતાનું ધ્યાન અને વિચારો સંપૂર્ણપણે કોઈ એક વસ્તુમાં લીન કરવા, એકાગ્રતાપૂર્વક ધ્યાન કેન્દ્રિત કરવું. આ ઊંડા ચિંતન અને તન્મયતાનો ભાવ દર્શાવે છે.			Fixing, concentrating, immersing. To completely absorb one’s attention and thoughts into something, to focus intensely. It implies deep contemplation and absorption.

નિરંતર યોગયુક્ત, સદાય જોડાયેલા. ‘નિત્ય’ એટલે સદાય અથવા નિરંતર, અને ‘યુક્ત’ એટલે જોડાયેલા અથવા યોગમાં પ્રવૃત્ત. આમ, ‘નિત્યયુક્ત’ નો અર્થ થાય છે જેઓ સદાય પરમાત્મા સાથે ભક્તિભાવથી જોડાયેલા હોય, સતત આધ્યાત્મિક સાધના કરતા હોય.			Ever steadfast, always engaged in devotion, constantly united (with God). ‘Nitya’ means always or perpetually, and ‘yukta’ means connected or engaged in yoga. So, ‘nityayukta’ implies those who are always devotedly connected to the Supreme, constantly practicing spiritual discipline.
उपासते		ઉપાસતે		upasate
ભજન કરે છે, ઉપાસના કરે છે. કોઈ દેવતા અથવા આધ્યાત્મિક આદર્શ પ્રત્યે પૂજા, ભક્તિ અથવા સેવા કરવી. તેમાં શ્રદ્ધા, પ્રાર્થના અને સમર્પણની ભાવનાથી કાર્ય કરવું શામેલ છે.			Worship, adore, serve. To engage in worship, devotion, or service, typically towards a deity or a spiritual ideal. It involves offering reverence, prayers, and actions in a spirit of dedication.

અને જેઓ પરમ શ્રદ્ધાથી યુક્ત છે, તેમને હું પરમ યોગીઓ માનું છું.

શ્રદ્ધાથી. અહીં શ્રદ્ધા એટલે અંધવિશ્વાસ નહીં, પરંતુ આધ્યાત્મિક બાબતોમાં સમજણ અને અનુભવ પર આધારિત દ્રઢ વિશ્વાસ, જે અચળ ભક્તિ તરફ દોરી જાય છે.			With faith, with devotion. Faith here is not blind belief, but a firm conviction based on understanding and experience in spiritual matters, leading to unwavering devotion.
परया		પરયા		parayaa
પરમ, શ્રેષ્ઠ. શ્રદ્ધાની સર્વોચ્ચ અથવા શ્રેષ્ઠ ગુણવત્તા દર્શાવે છે, જે સામાન્ય અથવા ભૌતિક શ્રદ્ધાથી પર છે.			Supreme, transcendental, highest. Signifies the highest or most excellent quality of faith, beyond ordinary or material faith.
उपेताः		ઉપેતાઃ		upetaaha
યુક્ત, સહિત.			Endowed with, possessed of.

युक्ततमाः		યુક્તતમાઃ		yuktatamaaha
પરમ યોગીઓ, સૌથી શ્રેષ્ઠ યોગીઓ. ‘યુક્ત’ એટલે યોગમાં જોડાયેલા અથવા સંલગ્ન, અને ‘તમ’ એ વિશેષણનો અતિશયતાવાચક પ્રત્યય છે જે ‘સૌથી વધુ’ દર્શાવે છે. આમ, ‘યુક્તતમા’ નો અર્થ થાય છે બધા યોગીઓમાં સૌથી સંપૂર્ણ રીતે જોડાયેલા અથવા સર્વશ્રેષ્ઠ યોગીઓ.			The most perfect yogis, the best among those engaged in devotion. ‘Yukta’ means engaged in yoga or connected, and ‘tama’ is a superlative suffix indicating ‘most’. Thus, ‘yuktatama’ means the most perfectly united or the most excellent among all yogis.
