अर्जुन उवाच।

एवं सततयुक्ता ये भक्तास्त्वां पर्युपासते ।

ये चाप्यक्षरमव्यक्तं तेषां के योगवित्तमाः ॥

અર્જુન ઉવાચ।

એવં સતતયુક્તા યે ભક્તાસ્ત્વાં પર્યુપાસતે ।

યે ચાપ્યક્ષરમવ્યક્તં તેષાં કે યોગવિત્તમાઃ ॥

evaṁ satata-yuktā ye bhaktās tvāṁ paryupāsate।

ye cāpy akṣaram avyaktaṁ teṣāṁ ke yoga-vittamāḥ ॥

Meaning / Summary

આ શ્લોક ભક્તિ યોગ અને જ્ઞાન યોગના માર્ગોની તુલના કરે છે અને અર્જુન ભગવાનને પૂછે છે કે કયો માર્ગ વધુ સારો છે.

અર્જુને પૂછ્યું: જે ભક્તો હંમેશાં તમારામાં સ્થિર રહીને તમારી પૂજા કરે છે અને જે અવિનાશી, અપ્રગટ બ્રહ્મની ઉપાસના કરે છે, તે બંનેમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ યોગી કોણ છે?

અર્જુન ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને પૂછે છે કે તમારા ભક્તો અને અક્ષર બ્રહ્મની ઉપાસના કરનારાઓમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ યોગી કોણ છે.

અર્જુન ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને પ્રશ્ન કરે છે કે જે ભક્તો સતત તમારામાં મન જોડીને તમારી સાકાર સ્વરૂપની પૂજા કરે છે અને જે અક્ષર એટલે કે અવિનાશી અને અવ્યક્ત બ્રહ્મની ઉપાસના કરે છે, તે બંને પ્રકારના યોગીઓમાં સૌથી વધુ જ્ઞાની અને યોગમાં નિપુણ કોણ છે?

This verse initiates a comparison between the path of devotion (Bhakti Yoga) and the path of knowledge (Jnana Yoga), with Arjuna seeking clarification on which path is superior.

Arjuna asked: Which of these, who are constantly devoted to You and worship You, and those who worship the imperishable, the unmanifested, are the better knowers of Yoga?

Arjuna asks Lord Krishna which devotees are considered the best: those devoted to Krishna’s personal form, or those who worship the unmanifested Brahman.

Arjuna is questioning Lord Krishna about which devotees are considered more advanced in Yoga. He asks whether those who are constantly engaged in devotion to Krishna in His personal form, or those who worship the imperishable, unmanifested Brahman, are the superior yogis.

સારી રીતે પૂજે છે ઉપાસના કરે છે, ભક્તિ કરે છે			properly worship, engage in devotion

અને જે અવિનાશી, અપ્રગટ બ્રહ્મની ઉપાસના કરે છે, તે બંનેમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ યોગી કોણ છે?

And those who worship the imperishable, the unmanifested, which of them are the better knowers of Yoga?
