Meaning / Summary

આ શ્લોક પરમ ભગવાનના ગુપ્ત અને અકલ્પનીય સ્વભાવને પ્રકાશિત કરે છે. તે ભારપૂર્વક જણાવે છે કે બ્રહ્માંડના સર્વોચ્ચ પ્રાણીઓ-શક્તિશાળી દેવતાઓ અને જ્ઞાની મહર્ષિઓ-પણ ભગવાન કૃષ્ણના સાચા સ્વભાવ, ઉત્પત્તિ અથવા ઐશ્વર્યને સંપૂર્ણપણે સમજી શકતા નથી. તેનું કારણ ઊંડું છે: કૃષ્ણ પોતે આ બધા જીવોનો અંતિમ સ્ત્રોત છે. આ તેમની સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિ પર, જેમાં દૈવી અથવા અત્યંત જ્ઞાની ગણાતા લોકો પણ શામેલ છે, સંપૂર્ણ સર્વોપરિતા સ્થાપિત કરે છે. તે ભક્તોને એવા અસ્તિત્વને શરણાગતિ આપવા પ્રોત્સાહિત કરે છે જેનું સાચું સાર સર્વોચ્ચ જીવોની પણ સમજની બહાર છે.

ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ ઘોષણા કરે છે કે દેવતાઓ કે મહર્ષિઓમાંથી કોઈ પણ તેમના મૂળને જાણતા નથી કારણ કે તેઓ જ તે બધાના પરમ સ્ત્રોત છે. આ તેમની અંતિમ સ્થિતિને દરેક વસ્તુના આદિકારણ તરીકે સ્થાપિત કરે છે.

This shloka highlights the transcendental and inconceivable nature of the Supreme Lord. It emphasizes that even the most elevated beings in the universe—the powerful demigods and the wise great sages—cannot fully comprehend Krishna’s true nature, origin, or opulence. The reason given is profound: Krishna Himself is the ultimate source of all these beings. This establishes His absolute supremacy over all creation, including those considered divine or highly enlightened. It encourages devotees to surrender to a being whose true essence is beyond the grasp of even the most exalted entities.

Neither the hosts of demigods nor the great sages know My origin, for I am the origin of all the demigods and the great sages in all respects.

Lord Krishna declares that neither the demigods nor the great sages know His origin because He is the supreme source from which all of them originate. This establishes His ultimate position as the primeval cause of everything.
