अधियज्ञः कथं कोऽत्र देहेऽस्मिन्मधुसूदन ।

प्रयाणकाले च कथं ज्ञेयोऽसि नियतात्मभिः ॥

અધિયજ્ઞઃ કથં કોઽત્ર દેહેઽસ્મિન્મધુસૂદન ।

પ્રયાણકાલે ચ કથં જ્ઞેયોઽસિ નિયતાત્મભિઃ ॥

Meaning / Summary

આ શ્લોક ભક્તિ અને મૃત્યુ સમયે ભગવાનના જ્ઞાનના મહત્વ પર ભાર મૂકે છે. તે પૂછે છે કે શરીરમાં યજ્ઞનો સાચો ભોક્તા કોણ છે અને ભગવાનને મૃત્યુ સમયે કેવી રીતે જાણી શકાય.

હે મધુસુદન! આ દેહમાં અધિયજ્ઞ કોણ છે? અને નિયમિત આત્માવાળા લોકો દ્વારા મૃત્યુ સમયે તમને કેવી રીતે જાણી શકાય છે?

અર્જુન ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને પૂછે છે કે શરીરમાં અધિયજ્ઞ કોણ છે અને મૃત્યુ સમયે નિયમિત આત્માવાળા લોકો તમને કેવી રીતે જાણી શકે છે.

અર્જુન ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને પૂછે છે કે આ શરીરમાં અધિયજ્ઞ એટલે કે યજ્ઞનો ભોક્તા કોણ છે? અને જે લોકો પોતાના મનને વશમાં રાખે છે, તેઓ મૃત્યુ સમયે તમને કેવી રીતે જાણી શકે છે?

This verse emphasizes the importance of devotion and knowledge of the Lord at the time of death. It questions who the true enjoyer of sacrifice is within the body and how one can know the Lord at death.

O Madhusudana, who is the Adhiyajna in this body, and how are You known at the time of death by those of controlled minds?

Arjuna asks Krishna who is the Adhiyajna (Lord of Sacrifice) within the body and how those with controlled minds can know Him at the time of death.

Arjuna is asking Lord Krishna who is the enjoyer of sacrifice (Adhiyajna) within this body and how can those who have controlled their minds know You at the time of death?
