तदेकं वद निश्चित्य येन श्रेयोऽहमाप्नुयाम् ॥

Meaning / Summary

આ શ્લોક અર્જુનની મૂંઝવણ અને ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ પાસેથી એક સ્પષ્ટ માર્ગદર્શનની માંગણી દર્શાવે છે. તે ભક્તિ અને જ્ઞાનના માર્ગો વચ્ચેની પસંદગીની મૂંઝવણને પણ ઉજાગર કરે છે.

મિશ્રિત વાક્યોથી જાણે કે તમે મારી બુદ્ધિને મોહિત કરી રહ્યા છો. તેથી એક જ વસ્તુ નિશ્ચિત કરીને કહો જેનાથી હું કલ્યાણ પામું.

અર્જુન ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને કહે છે કે તમારા મિશ્ર વચનોથી મારી બુદ્ધિ મોહ પામી રહી છે, તેથી મને એક નિશ્ચિત માર્ગ બતાવો જેનાથી મારું કલ્યાણ થાય.

અર્જુન ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને કહે છે કે તમે મને મિશ્રિત એટલે કે ભેળસેળવાળા વાક્યોથી મૂંઝવી રહ્યા છો. તમે કર્મયોગ અને જ્ઞાનયોગ બંનેની વાત કરો છો, જેનાથી મારી બુદ્ધિ ભ્રમિત થઈ રહી છે. કૃપા કરીને મને એક જ રસ્તો બતાવો જેનાથી મારું શ્રેય થાય, મારું કલ્યાણ થાય.

This verse shows Arjuna’s confusion and his demand for clear guidance from Lord Krishna. It also highlights the confusion of choosing between the paths of devotion and knowledge.

With seemingly perplexing words, you confuse my intellect. Therefore, tell me definitively one path by which I may attain the supreme good.

Arjuna tells Lord Krishna that his intellect is bewildered by his mixed words, so please show him a definite path by which he can attain welfare.

Arjuna expresses his confusion to Lord Krishna, stating that Krishna’s seemingly mixed and contradictory statements are bewildering his intellect. Arjuna requests Krishna to clearly and definitively state one path (either Karma Yoga or Jnana Yoga) that will lead him to the ultimate good and liberation.

તેથી એક જ વસ્તુ નિશ્ચિત કરીને કહો જેનાથી હું કલ્યાણ પામું.
